I wasn't looking at the speedo but I was going about 110 when I saw his car, and perhaps 80 by the time I could read "State Trooper" on his front bumper. He "cut me a lot of slack", to quote his words. |

I was gonna' say, come on now, you can do better than 60 in a 45. A Daytona 675 will go way better than 110 too, but then you probably already know that... |

I was going about 110 when I saw his car Yeah they cut everyone but ME slack it seems... 2002: 60 in a 55 2006: 83 in a 65 2008: 46 in a 25 The last one killed me as I was unable to make the court date that they switched bc I was in the hospital... now I ride 5 to7 over... and I have to ride in the back. And I am stuck paying $100/ month for bike insurance on the M2 and City X combined. I know I sound like I am whining but it still sucks... even if I did it to myself. |

Whatever said: I know I sound like I am whining but it still sucks... even if I did it to myself. Well, some people just have to learn everything the hard way. |

Whatever.. I'd love to pay $100/month for insurance. My Uly alone is $185/month. Single 23yo male with one ticket on my record.. 82 in a 55 from last summer. |

Philip, try contacting Dairyland direct sales for an insurance quote. They do me right, and the agents are bikers (at least a couple I have spoken with are). They also seem to understand that Buells are not rice rockets, and seem to price accordingly. I have 3 bikes on one policy, which also saves a lot. Others one hears about are Geico and Progressive. But man, definitely shop that quote! |

I'm with Progressive now, and did all the shopping around when leaving State Farm. Geico was worse than what I'm paying now, but I haven't talked to Dairyland. Sorry for the hijack |

Dairyland gave me 200 some to insure the M2L for almost 9 years... then I buy the City X and they wanted 1200 a year on that alone... Talked them down to 1200 a year for both... and mind you I had one "act of god" claim before this... Progressive wanted 1800 a year on the City X... The agent said it was partly my sh*tty credit... that is what happens when you are unemployed for 15 months... Oh well, at least I am working and can afford it now... another speeding ticket I cannot afford... |

Yeah Georgia is definitely treating me right. Yes the bike is a borrowed one, 2008 speed triple. Ive been alternating between that and a KTM Superduke 990. I can't wait to get my Z shipped out here.... still house hunting. |

This bike has buttery smooth throttle response, all the way up the tachometer. It is best equated with a powerful electric motor, so linear and consistent that it's almost unbelievable. Traffic citations aside, this was really a great day. Just under 400 miles in all.
