So, what do you guys think about the new release from Capital brewery called "Supper Club"? I find very nice and somewhat light but not too filling. Anybody else try it yet? |

I have never had a 'filling' beer. I think you guys are drinking wrong. Or it is a sign I am a true alcoholic |

I just finished 5 gallons of robust porter with an extra pound of chocolate flavor. Very rich and fullfilling. It exceeded my expectations for my first batch. |

http://www.gowafb.com/wap/news/text.jsp?targetUrl= http://www.wafb.com/Global/story.asp?S=13089364 The beginnings of "Oilgate"? This is beginning to smell, to stink of sabotage a t worst, disingenuous exploitive politics at best: >>> United Steelworkers (USW) International Vice P resident Gary Beevers issued a statement concernin g the fire. >>> "We are thankful that no one was killed in the explosion today of an offshore petroleum platform in the Gulf of Mexico. Unfortunately, one person was injured and that is one person too many," he s aid. >>> "This latest explosion shows that we need to m ake sure all these rigs in the Gulf are safe to op erate before we put personnel back to work on them . I would hate to see a worker killed in our haste to reopen the Gulf to drilling. We need to give t he government adequate time to do its inspections and ensure adequate health and safety provisions a re in place," he explained. "I would hate to see a worker killed in our haste to reopen the Gulf to drilling." It wasn't even a drilling rig! Does Mr. union bos s propose that we shut down all production in the Gulf of Mexico? Look out folks. The push is on to ram through cap and trade legislation that will SIGNIFICANYLY incr ease the cost of energy, and thus just about EVERY THING in America. The union boss was way too quic k to show his hand. How to destroy freedom? Enslave the people throug h mobocracy; disguise redistribution of wealth (th eft by gov't) as concern for safety and/or environ ment. |

Change "oil rig" to "steel foundry" and see if Mr. Beevers changes his tune. Who is John Galt? |

The Double Bastard is too much for me and I prefer the regular Arrogant Bastard. Haven't tried Ruination Ale yet. Stone Brewery is about 15 miles from my house and it is a beautiful place. |

Looks like the operator has somewhat of a safety history. "Federal authorities have cited Mariner Energy and related entities for 10 accidents in the Gulf of Mexico over the last four years, according to safety records from the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement. The accidents range from platform fires to pollution spills and a blowout, according to accident-investigation reports from the agency formerly known as the Minerals Management Service." |

Everyone agrees that safety is important including enforcement and penalties for non-compliance. What we don't need is a witch hunt for the purpose of garnering political power by instilling fear in the citizenry. |

Once again the news media has made a mt. out of a mole hill. All safety systems proformed as designed. (Platform is shut in)I dont know the cause could have been lighing--welding accident-B-B-Q pit kitchen fire hell could have been burning Obama photos. We will be learning more later. |

Actually, now that I think about it, It makes sense! Oboma needs cover for the results of his admin's actions, ( just pick one ) so he distracts people with another potential disaster. So burn oil rigs, and use the backlash to push your energy bill. Brilliant! And Beck? he's been with Obama all along, yeah thats the ticket! He's sucking in the right wingers with religion and morals! He'll keep them riled up, but emphasize "give unto Ceasar..." and keep them in line and obedient.....

With the timing of this, one can't help but be suspicious. I've talked to several different people at work about it, both men and women ranging from 26 yo to 50-something, most with college degrees, and not a single one of them thinks this is an accident. If it IS some kind of Government scheme to get more energy laws in place, they're going to have to do better than that, because they don't seem to be fooling anyone (that I know). ~SM (Message edited by Swordsman on September 03, 2010) |

Doesn't really matter if they fool people or not. They will ram the laws down peoples throats anyways. People will bitch and complain, and in the end, do little about it. I Believe it is a scheme. I don't believe in these kinds of CO-inky-dinks. Been drilling for 40+ years off shore, and nothing this big, or often. Twice, here in our waters, it's fishy. Who all are participating in this scheme I don't know. I think it likely involves people in and out of "our" government. And people from different countries. Who has the most to gain, who pays the most? In terms of money, power, and freedom or loss of. |
