i can't not ride with something IN my ears. be it foamies, soft rubber plugs, or (my fav) noise-cancelling ear buds pumping the tunes. speakers to just make it louder are a no-go for me. will this system allow the use of ear buds instead of the speakers? |

I have the same affliction Nill, but I enjoy the G4. It's not only loud it's clear. The problem with ear buds as I see it is that it would be difficult to get the helmet on and off as the microphone would need to be mounted inside the helmet. You could wire earbuds in place of the speakers, but the rest of the unit is attached to the helmet. I guess if you made the wires long enough... |

would the ear buds be a plug and play? ... or splice, strip, solder, and heat-shrink then test it out, troubleshoot and then realize i just destroyed something trying to 'fix' it when it wasn't broken in the first place? that's my main issue. ... fear of ruining something perfectly useful. and i can't say that this fear is unfounded |

nill, i can attest that the sound was pretty good at normal speed. went down and pammy set it up in my helmet so i can try it out. she spent a good bit of time with me just so i can see how they do and had to hold off due to funds. now that i got said funds, i'll be giving her a call today to set me up with a set for my wife and i. regardless of price!! |

Nill, I can probably arrange for a replacement. Should there be a mishap. Neil, you are a gem. I have worked a better deal so far, but since the numbers needed are down, I will have to figure, just what I can manage. It's gonna be better, regardless. |

I know this is kind of long and boring, but please read it all. I appreciate ya Neil. This is how the deal has to work. I have to have orders in multiple of 6. Since I will be losing money on the units themselves, I can only make it do-able if I order in these quantities. 309.95 USPS shipping to the contiguous. But I can't absorb the cost of credit cards or paypal. That is how tight it is. I like you all a lot, but I can't pay you to buy these things ;o). This isn't a capitalist event for Cycle Rama at all. I made a commitment and I am standing by it for all the loyal folks who are interested. Thanks for all the e-mails, phone calls and private messages. You guys are great. You tell me what you want, how many you want and when you want them. If you want them sent a different way or faster, etc..., I can do it, but not included in the price. Sales tax applies to everyone in Florida or anyone who wants to pick up their unit here. There is a new feature, that should be available by January. Nill, you will love this one, as will I. Ear bud connection! Until then, if you want to try something, let me know. So there it is folks. That is better than I can really do. But I promised some people and I will do my damn-est to fulfill my end of the bargain. Oh, paypal and credit card payments are available for the 3% fee. I don't want anyone to accuse me of cheating. And the guy, who thinks that Cardo doesn't stand by the product, Call me. I can probably help you out. How about I wait until Thursday evening and then order them on Friday. I would have them early the following week and then I would send them out. Our address and phone number is: Cycle Rama,Inc. 7200 73rd Street North Pinellas Park, FL 33781 727-546-0889 727-546-0945 727-545-1047 FAX |

I've used the Q2 for a while now, and I really like it. The only problem is that it is in a Shoei RF1000 helmet and the mic is too close to my lips. It gets old after a while. I have changed the sock to a thin one I found around the house, but I wish I had the flat corded mic they advertise. The only problem is they want $50 for that mic. A few articles said the G4 would be available with the corded mic, but none of the distributors know anything about it. For that reason I'm kind of holding off. Otherwise they are great products. |

They offer a wired mic. It does cost extra. Probably about $45. They will soon be available for the G4's as well. They have been available for awhile. Did you try using it without the foam? |

I haven't tried totally without foam. Is it still OK? |

I have noticed the G4's wired mics available in Europe, and one or two pop up on EBay. I wish Cardo would make these an easy option, because it really would make a big difference. |

They are available...just waiting for packaging. Maybe a tiny bit of foam to keep your words from sounding slurred. I'm not sure that I have tried it. The foam touching my lips bothered me at first, but it doesn't anymore and I have mine on for about 8 hours in a day. |

Is there any way you can get a G4 corded mic with this order? |

So you want a G4 powerset and a smaller mic? Or do you already have a G4 and you just want the mic? Either way, I will see what can be done. |

The corded mic and the earbud connection will be add ons as I am told. The G4's are available now though. It's a group buy that I would like to wrap up by Friday. I like the speakers anyway. I wouldn't give up one for the other. I will get the bud option when it is available though for longer trips. The regular mic doesn't bother me at all so that one is a toss up. |
