Last year I actually gave the following as a bonus question on a quiz for my cadets: "Where will you go during the zombie apocalypse, and why?" It was worth 5 points, (the entire course is 2000 points) and I had cadets write two or three paragraphs explaining where they'd go. Quite a few put Alaska, Canada, and other northern climes, knowing that zombies freeze in the winter. A couple said they'd get a boat and go into the ocean, and a few others had very good ideas of places local to West Point that they could fortify and hold for a few months at least. They really thought about that question, and it was pretty neat to see the variety of answers I got. Just last week I gave a quiz and one of the multiple choice questions was about the epidemics that wiped out the Native American population in the 17th and 18th centuries. One of the choices I put was "African Rabies". A few of the cadets asked me if I knew what African Rabies was... |

M-4 chambered in 308, street sweeper, AA-12, M-203, and of course Molotov Cocktail. When you absolutely positively remove all zombies. I have a place in Montana that is off grid, defensible, and stocked Grandpa built it as a bomb shelter back when the Soviets were to fly over the polar zone to drop bombs. Now if I could go anywhere.... Midway Island. Totally defensible, largely uninhabited, and a nature preserve for eating. dont know that zombies can manage boats or planes to come out there. |

Zach is a formidable foe, especially when it thaws in the Spring. It sucks that you can't go swimming because they are shambling about the floor of the water body. Who would have thought that Cuba became an economic power and the Israelis embraced their once hostile neighbors? |

Molotov Cocktail. Sorry, but do you know what it takes to burn a body with fire to the point that it stops (minus pain and destroys the brain)? Otherwise good. I would share my zombie plan, but would hate for you to get eaten and then have remnents of my plan in your diseased brain and find me. (Message edited by doughnut on August 25, 2010) |

Zombies can walk on the ocean floor.... what would happen if a shark tried to eat a zombie and the zombie bit the shark? I think the shit could really hit the fan for one thing.... |

I love zombie stuff and that show looks AWESOME! Anybody else notice a bunch of similarities between the beginning of the show and the beginning of 28 Days Later? Now those movies creep me out because unlike a lot of zombie stuff, the 28's are based on a rouge virus...developed by us. |

Not necessary to read ZSG before WWZ. But it couldn't hurt. I love the people with the psychological afflictions that caused them to act like zombies. Unfortunately for them, Zach was never fooled. I am constantly on the lookout for zombies. That poor woman in Northern San Diego whose husband was bitten, was a neighbor of mine. Zach shambled right up to their sliding glass door but it was too late. She is now on the Board of Directors of the self contained community up in Canada now and they are trying to franchise. The documented government cover up of known zombie epidemics is worse than the Pat Tillman splooge that showed up on BW today. World War Z rocks! |

It's not a "requirement" to read the zsg however it is referenced a number of times throughout wwz. If you want the full zombie experience, read the zsg first. |

An incendiary bomb made from a breakable container, such as a bottle, filled with flammable liquid and provided with a rag wick. Used by the Soviets against the invading German armies in World War II, these bombs were nicknamed after V. M. Molotov, a foreign minister of the Soviet Union at that time. by all reports dva do cmepte two minutes to death. The NKVD used to use it as a show of retribution to non 'communist' members. |
