It opened in an advanced screening here in Toronto last week and I was curious if any of you guys were even aware of the film and it's release dates in the States. Quite an eye opener as far as government sponsored cover ups go. I thought it was good. The discussions with the Tillman family, especially the mother, were very interesting. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hWmqogu3mZw |

As a Canadian, what good do you believe this film will bring the American people? |

The truth. I as an American would appreciate that once in awhile. God Damn fatty, you're such an arrogant stuck up prick, I have to post at half time of my kids soccer game cause you're so damn aggravating. Going after the Canadians now too? Have to spread your hate from liberals, Mexicans and God know who else? People like you are the reason the world hates America so damn much. You think your shit doesn't stink and your elevated above everyone else, when in reality you're an insignificant pimple on the ass of the world. Get over yourself. Please!!! |

Yep thank God we closed gitmo and punished those greedy bank ceo's. Now the world loves us again. Thank God this administration isn't corrupt like the last one and the patriot act is dissolved. Next thing you know they would try to give potus the power to shut down internet access. Democrats would surely stop that though. Thank you rocket for making up such an informed electorate that votes on common sense rather than hyped up corporatist schemes. We have a real dream team in there now. |

I simply asked a question. Does anyone not already know the truth about the story? We really have to have a movie about it? It's sad, Rocket, that your arguments are so weak that you have to begin your FIRST post in EVERY thread with insults. You really are insecure. Today, my shit smells like burritos. |

Funny. Never said any of those things you mention there jonnyhotrod. It's attitudes like fatties that don't help the situation. There's plenty this administration is doing/continuing that makes us look like a bunch of a-holes. I just wish I was as cool and informed as people such as youself. |

Nah fattie. It's your pisspoor attitude and condescending questions you ask others pretending to be inquisitive, when in reality, you're a stuck up knob. You do not deserve the respect of a civil conversation, because it will end up at this point, so I'm trimming the fat and getting right to the meat. Get over yourself. |

Toronto's a big boy. He can defend himself. He doesn't need an eBodyguard. The only "discussions" that get to this point are the ones in which you loose the logical argument and then fly off the handle swinging wildly as you depart the thread. I'm sorry you aren't able to make a cogent argument of your own or to break my arguments. It must be really frustrating for you. (Message edited by ft_bstrd on August 29, 2010) |

Toronto, Yes I am hoping to see it. I am interested in it, and if asked about the film I would like to be able to speak my thoughts based on having seen it. But, seeing as some ranting is going on, I'll join in. Toronto asked a question. NOBODY ANSWERED HIS QUESTION. I have seen a lot of this in threads. WTF. Rant if you must, but have the respect to answer a persons question if your going to post in a thread they started. Or at lest wait till the thread has gone on awhile. Ourdee, Serco, and others like it should scare the shit out of everyone! |

Besides the original title, was there a question being asked by Toronto? (Message edited by ft_bstrd on August 29, 2010) |

Rocket almost everyone here knows you and toronto get little boners when our military screws up or America gets scolded or put down. I bet you both were slightly happy or thought we deserved the 9-11 attack. |

It sure is interesting how quickly some high-level military types will just _trash_ their honor when it suits them, when it comes time to CYA. Obviously they don't think the truth will come to light. But if and when it does, as in this case, doesn't it make you wonder about all we don't know? And about their complete lack of honor? |

From a review of the film: "If you’re looking for an expose to go beyond the significant reportage that has already been done, this won’t be it." |

I greatly respect our fighting men and women. I was once one of them. But is ANYONE even at ALL surprised that certain high-up Army officers attempted to cover-up the cause of Pat Tillman's death? CYA CYA CYA CYA CYA CYA CYA CYA CYA CYA CYA |

What military would want to divulge information that could harm their efforts at a time of war? Our media would rather talk about that than say the genocide and horror saddam brought to iraq. |

But is ANYONE even at ALL surprised that certain high-up Army officers attempted to cover-up the cause of Pat Tillman's death? No. Friendly fire incidents happen in every single war. What makes this one particularly insidious is the fact that they attempted to not only hide the friendly fire incident but to fabricate a story about what happened in order to provide a "war hero". Nothing in this movie is information we don't already have. So again my question, as posted to Toronto quite politely, was what good do you believe this movie will bring to the American people? |

Rocco, Your tirade was first class and merits another free beverage of your choice! It is helping make up for my seventh pretty blah day at work. I guess your name isn't Rocket for nothing. Thanks. Why do you let the Fatman get under your skin like that? He really did ask a legitimate question, n'est-ce pas? We already know the Pat Tillman story and it isn't pretty. Toronto is essentially trolling but that's ok. |

"I greatly respect our fighting men and women. I was once one of them." Hmmm...I'd guess that, from Georgie's attitude and his chant, the "fighting men and women" he's referring to were members of a Berkeley protest group. G |

Fatty. What good do I think this movie will bring to the American people? Well the truth is the first thing that comes to mind. The truth of the entire story instead of the little bits and pieces we get in the media which seem to get quickly forgotten and then either exaggerated or embellished. Objectivity is another thing that I think the film brings to the forefront whether that is a good thing or not is a personal matter. What happened to Pat Tillman and the Tillman family and to a lesser extent the American people was a crime. It would be nice if Donald Rumsfield was held accountable for his actions in regards to the false accounts created around Pat Tillman's death. The truth from democratic governments is sort of the whole point of democracies isn't it? Even in times of war I would prefer the truth over made up shit. |

What good do I think this movie will bring to the American people? Well the truth is the first thing that comes to mind. The truth is already out there. This isn't a new story. Objectivity is another thing that I think the film brings to the forefront Pardon me if I am skeptical of the truth that comes from Berkley. I will see the film, but in the wake of "truth" brought to us from Michael Moore and Dylan Avery I won't just swallow it as "fact". The death of Pat Tillman was a loss felt by every American made worse by the fabrications that occurred afterward. The family deserved to know what happened. None of this is in question. |

So Gregtonn, it never occurs to you that soldiers might actually expect their leaders to be as honorable as they are? Were you ever a soldier, Gregtonn? If so you would know that when those in command white-wash the truth JUST to further their own careers it brings dishonor to us all. Soldiers fight and kill and sometimes die for their country. And some will come home with fewer limbs and injuries that will never heal. They deserve better than what the likes of General McChrystal and Donald Rumsfeld attempted to do just to cover their own backsides. |

They deserve better than what the likes of General McChrystal and Donald Rumsfeld attempted to do just to cover their own backsides. Agreed on the Tillman incident. It was a very bad decision. They attempted to use the death of a high profile volunteer soldier to create a modern day Audie Murphy. It was a lie. |

"The truth from democratic governments is sort of the whole point of democracies isn't it? Even in times of war I would prefer the truth over made up shit." So what you're saying is that the current administration needs a complete reversal in policy. G |
