I have to confess that I do like some country stuff but as soon as I hear in the song that he's a "good ole boy" or he's driving his pickup, I turn off.
So much of it is just so fake, many artists seem to have become parodies of themselves.
Too much dross, not enough quality, but that's the same with everything these days.
Like most all of you here, I'm classic rock and non-sugary country. I will mutter an expletive and reach for the tuner when Reba or Kieth Urban come on...same with Elton John. In the last few weeks we've been no farther back than 4th row for Willie Nelson, Heart, Jason Aldean... and last night... Gretchen Wilson, right up front. (She had her nice-butt jeans on!). Next week is REO and Pat Benetar together.
Had to miss Goose Creek Symphony tonite at the Shed due to work- much sucky. (Bartending on a Saturday nite pays the bills, but it's more fun to be on the other side of the bar...)
