+1... don't know if it's the best movie ever, but they waste no time getting right into the action. |

I agree!!! Went to see it on an Ultra Screen last night. There are very few home theaters that will do that movie any justice. You gotta see it on the big screen with the volume cranked. Best part had to be the shotgun scene, kinda reminded me of Starship Troopers the way guys were getting mowed down like bugs. |

I like the ads...but will probably WFV, so I can put it in my home theatre. 1400 watts' surround sound, 800w sub, 2400 lumen overhead LCD projector, 10' screen...and power leather theatre recliners with LED lighted cupholders. And my theatre allows malted beverages!

My only problem: Charisma Carpenter wasn't in nearly enough scenes and she had on way too much clothing... |

yeah, the were missing at least one beach/out door shower scene and a reference to going 'south of the border' we have become too politically correct. |

No thanks, there is enough of that for free on the internet everywhere. I would rather just watch them blow stuff up! |

Charisma Carpenter wasn't in nearly enough scenes and she had on way too much clothing... I've seen the movie, but had never heard the name Charisma Carpenter... she was pretty good looking on the big screen. So I just googled her and found a lot of pictures, and she has a tramp stamp. Yuck. I'm sorry, but women with tattoos are as bad as women who smoke cigarettes. They just aren't on my menu at all. Same goes for any piercing other than ears... Can't stand makeup either. Back on topic, it was a really good movie, packed with big name stars and lots of action. |

She played Cordelia Chase for years on both "Buffy: The Vampire Slayer" and the spin-off series "Angel." She's been on several other shows in guest starring roles too. As for the tattoo... WHO CARES? At least she's not completely covered in them like some women I know. |

Wow you are all some picky fellows. I happen to love a few tattoos on a woman. Not a fan of sleeves but to each their own. Oh and after seeing this pic below i would like to change my opinion from picky to bat shit crazy.

You should see the layout she did for Playboy shortly after her son was born. Boy, did her body snap back into shape!! Watched "The Losers" last night. It came out earlier this year, but I saw it on PPV. Sort of like a less bloody version of "The Expendables," based on a DC/Vertigo comic (that I've never heard of before). Not bad, but "The Expendables" was definitely bigger, louder, and bloodier. On the other hand, it did have something "The Expendables" lacked... a simulated sex scene with Zoe Saldana! |

So what old school action movie did it remind you of the most? For me it was Commando. Only with a team instead of Ahhhnold doing it solo. |

Not as many good one-liners as "Commando." Reminded me more of the second "Rambo" movie, but with the graphic violence of the last Rambo movie. |

I must see this movie today. Ever since I seen the preview the first time I knew this would have to be a kick a$$ movie if it had all of the big time action stars in it. Although I think Van damme would have made the cast complete. |

In an interview, Stallone said he offered a part to Van Damme, Seagal and Norris, but then they had a standard to uphold: INSANITY. http://movies.yahoo.com/feature/movie-talk-why-was -jean-claude-van-damme-deemed-expendable.html |

WOW! Went last night. Sat in the middle about a third of the way back from the screen. Neck is sore from looking back and forth, action all over the screen. Auto shotgun has you rooting for the trigger to be pulled! Well done! The wife even liked it! Stalone was better in this movie than in all of his past movies. Like he wasn't trying to push a character. Normal action movies have music scores reaching several crescendos to accentuate the action, this one has one.....it starts two minutes in and ends when the credits roll. Yep, I liked it. Best action movie I have seen in years. Oh yeah, it was great to see the Duc riding in with the Blurba-blurba/chrome/leather guys. Kinda how I feel riding the Uly in some crowds. Not only did he kick ass, but it was the only bike involved in the action. Imagine that! (Message edited by etennuly on August 25, 2010) |

Did you notice the new "message".....they actually wore helmets on the Duc! So cool. Shoot up, blow up, big fights, face beat to crap, but won't ride away without the helmets on. I for one am glad to see that! AND.....I did not see or hear the use of any stupid misaligned sound tracks for the bikes. Man I hate it when that happens! Guess I'm getting old... I was extremely disappointed in this movie. I might have enjoyed it more when I was 12, but even then I would have noticed how thin the whole movie is. Thin plot, glaring scene errors, lame script, bad effects, and ridiculous Harley-esque "lifestyle" characters played by over-the-hill "action heroes". Embarrassing. There were two things I enjoyed in the whole movie- the humorous line about Arnold "wanting to be president", and the short clip of the Grumman Albatross in the air with "Mississippi Queen" playing. But those two scenes were not worth the $7.50 I paid. I really expected this movie to be able to stand head-to-head with the true classics- Rocky, Die Hard, Terminator, Lethal Weapon, First Blood, Aliens, Matrix, etc... I'm afraid it will end up being compared to similar lame action movies such as Action Jackson, Universal Soldier, Cobra, Tango and Cash, Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man, and other sad excuses of movies. The possibilities were unlimited with the Expendables, but the execution was unforgivable. It should have been a new classic, but fails miserably. I wish it were not so. |

It was kindof made for teenagers with ADD who are on Crack I think... all the fight scenes that could have been brilliant were all chopped up... you have a great martial artist pegged as the little guy who gets beat up and has to be bailed out by someone with a big gun... boring... Stallone looked like someone beat him with an ugly stick and Rourke probably injected too much collagen into his lips... just sayin not my style... |

Saw it last week. It was O.K. Hand to hand scenes could have been more consistent and not hacked up. Jason Statham is great at these scenes as is Jet Lei. neither were utilized to their potential. The story line is a combination of several older movies spliced into one.. |
