Then why the debate? If you didn't want to read it, then don't read it. But then don't be smug and make claims about how precious your time is while wasting it with this banter. |

Most news is entertainment. Hell, other than the weather and local events very little in the news effects me. |

The people always anti fox are the same ones who wouldn't admit during the last election that most media outlets were smitten with bo and they would never cover anything that would hurt his success at the presidency. Acorn was a huge story that largely didn't get covered for the most part. Yet they reminded us weekly how many troops died in Bush's illegal power grab for oil. Ill bet cyclone has some vested interest bo and other socialists getting elected. Maybe its a government program or something. We wouldn't want people finding out how much wastefull spending there is would we? |

Fahren, You may have a point re print versus video. Kinda sure is nice to see the people who make news actually speaking in interviews as there is much conveyed in tone and expression that print may not convey. Print requires an intermediary. So to does much of broadcast and cable news, but not all. I don't trust very many interediaries to actually report completely honestly absent any bias. That is a problem just like it is in our education system from primary school through university. You may not see it, or youmay agree with it; I sure see it and it isn't a good thing. Political indoctrination never is. "Barack Hussein Obama, hmmm, hmmm, hmmm...". That should have sent a chill of revolt down the spine of every American. And Fahren, printed media provides the same mix of fluf and commentary (editorials), possibly more bias. I intentionally made no distinction between morons on the left or right. Thanks for noticing. I don't see many right wingers shunning msnbc or repeatedly publicly deriding them a joke or false news; no, that kind of campaign has come from the left, who before Fox News enjoyed a virtual monopoly of the major network news. Given that, besides ignorant and hyper-partisan, the deranged anti-Fox badmothers sure do come across as petty. The one thing I've noticed on Fox is that even on their commentary shows, Hannity even, they typically have someone like Bob Beckel or another Dem to present their views. I don't think you can call Gretta biased. Megyn Kelly is about as hard nosed of a news analyst as there is. I sometimes DVR her two hour show in lieu of evening news. One thing I really like to see are the ambush interviews of folks who have been ducking public accountability, the swindlers and wildly out of touch public officials, the judges who don't seen to think pedophiles or rapists warrant justice. Kudos to the news folks who are getting themessage out; don't let your children eat used condoms. Maybe some activist will organize the community and get a refund-on-return fee applied to rubbers like some states have imposed on beverage bottles and cans. The power of the media. |

>>>>So many folks trying to hit the litigation lottery instead of doing an honest days work. That's a heralded institution in the NYC area . . . I know one young lady who has collected $100,000 on TWO occasions for car accidents that I would not have even turned into my insurance company. She sued BMW for an airbag going off . . . I'd have written them a thank you note. Folks seem less concerned with getting and education and working hard than getting in the "right kind of accident". Kind of a shame and I'm hoping what I'm seeing is a real anomaly. |

"litigation lottery" I live in small town America, I work in City Hall in a town of 6000. Within two blocks of the office there are 21 lawyers and a new one just bought the building across the street. If it's this bad here I couldn't even imagine New York. And have you seen the family who's suing Sea World because their 10 year old was traumatized when the whale killed its trainer? |

Back to topic: I'm no expert on STDs, but I'm thinking something like that, if it WAS an STD, would not show up so quickly. I could be wrong. MY first thought is the kid's allergic to latex. The most common reactions are hives and rash, but that's on the outside. No idea what it would do if it came in contact with the soft tissue inside, but seems plausible to me. ~SM |
