Nothing the matter with the old girl, I just realize that I have only ridden it twice this summer.
There's no point in me saving it for when I'm older: I am old already, and I just hate to see her just sitting there.
So, it's time to say goodbye. If anyone is looking for a nice XB12 this is it: Ohlins suspension, Hals Chain conversion, Firebolt tail and some fifty other mods make it a unique bike.
Featured in Cylcle Worlds "Buells of Bad Web", and Cafe Racer Magazine, it was also selected for the 2007 New York Bike show.
Price is $5,500.
I am listing it here first, I would naturally like her to go to a knowledgeable Bad Webber.
Please see the full listing in the classified section.
TTT for a great deal! as mentioned above the bike is free!
as an architect i'm surprised to see you part with such a beautiful piece of industrial design. hope it goes to someone who will appreciate the thought and effort that went into it! at some point i hope to mount mine to the wall with "proper" lighting. Mike
Just my 2cents but since I have bought my 2010 Firebolt the S1W has seen very limited use but it going nowhere. Everytime I ride it it reminds me why I wanted it in the first place. It's a keeper to me like lil blackie should be for you. If it is only costing you insurance and registration then everytime you ride it it should remind you of its worth. OFF soapbox now.
30 years from now someone will be at the Slimey Crud Run and say "Hey look at the Buell, I used to own one and man do I miss that bike". I will reply back "look all you want, but keep your hands off my 38 year old one owner Buell!"
I would love to jon but I already traded the M2 for a blazer and even if I did sell the bolt I doubt I would get enough to cover the money I would need from it to buy yours.
I am sure some one on here will by that amazing machine and take good care of it though.
Well I will be 67 years old at that point and I plan to still be riding my M2. And it still will be a one owner bike since I bought it brand new back in 2002. I just can't see any reason why I would ever get rid of it.
