Caution: condo ownership requires submission to its homeowner association. Significant price to pay for "not mowing your own grass". Later, operating as a geezer with an RV one is able to migrate to most attractive weather, kinfolks, gas prices, sports franchises, public benefits, and health-care options! |

Gas RV's are non-CDL. Diesel pushers *should* carry a class B, but it's not very enforced. Reason for a B on diesels is, airbrakes and airbag suspension - big truck stuff. And...we have a class A Canyon Star toyhauler in stock too 39' Newmar, Ford V10 gas, 10' garage in back with a rear cap that folds down to be the ramp. Verrry cool. Very transparent, too, when the ramp is up - just looks like another Class A. |

I appreciate all your advice. Chiming back in on the CCRs for motorcycles. There arent any. The condo's are right on the golf course that went tribal five years ago. The ownership is kinda different. It is the only property in the state that you can 'own' as non tribal member, but it is considered 'tribal' land..... hello sovereign nation with carve out tax advantages. .... F-Off big gov't. There is no garage. Three miles away there is a small airfield with a hangar for lease to own, so even with the mort on the condo, and the lease on the hangar, I am still less than what I pay now for the house. 'Plus the airfield has 'track' days were they let the SCCA guys run the pavement. Leaning to condo |

Cool thread. A plot o land, small cabin, off grid gets my vote! We have been talking about selling our home and building a home/office/shop type compound a few miles out of town. I'm sure that this will never happen but I'm thinking 20 to 50 acres with an 8k' to 10k' building. 800' finished for living, 800' finished for office, the rest is warehouse for the business and for all the toys. The ceiling height would be at 16' to 18' to allow my car lift to fit and to allow for storage above the living and office areas. The rest of the warehouse could have a mezzanine to double up on storage. The land would be divided up between our kids for them to build on so we can all share the motocross track, the lake, the pool, etc. that we were planning on doing. We are so tired of the whole "big fancy house" thing and all the financial burdens that are associated with it. We were hoping to be on the market next spring and start pursuing a new start but I don't think we will ever be able to sell without loosing our asses. |

Living at the airfield is a no go, no houses forsale under 450K (ugh) The hangar is for sale privately... because the owner build a bigger one for his newer plane. But for the bikes and the next hot rod project, it is perfect. Looking more and more like condo and hangar pics as they happen (fingers crossed) |
