Last Friday, I had the opportunity to snap some pix's of the Scorpion's down in Roseburg, OR. Wow, what a mad house it was. A very large turn out to see the band. It had been 25 years since I last seen the band. They "STILL" put on a great, high energy show. Two of the members are 62 years old and one is 55 years old. Sure can't tell it by looking at them. Awesome, wish I could get around to see them. I saw Iron Maiden a couple months ago, similar experience there. Old men moving around the stage like teenagers, and hammering out all my favorite tunes along with tons of great new music I'd never heard. Amazing to me, these guys still deliver high value on a concert ticket. | ||

Same thing with KISS. I saw them a couple of weeks ago, well at least two of the originals were there. They still get around good but Paul's voice isn't what it used to be but he's got to be pushing 60 if he's not already there. I've never heard KISS do a cover until this concert and they broke into three but never finished them, it seemed really weird. Like they were going to complete it but realized they were butchering it and stopped. Overall it was a great concert. Pdxs3t your pictures are great, much better than the drunks on the lawn taking pictures with their phones. I bet they were most disappointed the next day.  | ||

I saw Aerosmith last week (Sammy Hagar opened) and they were amazing. Steve can still hit the high notes. Simply amazing. Great concert, great band. | ||

Alex...I've been real lucky this summer! I still have a few more to shoot this month and in September. Going to one tonight...Michael Schenker, Rudolf Schenker of the Scorpion's little brother. I didn't even see that earlier thread on the Scorp's...I feel like a goof now! Kiss would be a fun show, one of the few bands I haven't seen. Maybe the next time the come to the NW. | ||

I remember the Scorpions- shredded them totally on Deal's Gap. They stuck well, just burned off too fast for me... I like tire threads. Wait, no I don't!!! I'm confused. | ||

They're (KISS) coming to CA which looks to be the closest to you but it's in the southern part of the state and they have two bands opening for them I had never heard of. I first saw them in 2000. 2nd row in front of Gene Simmons with Ted Nugent and Skid Row opening. What a show! | ||

From what I have read...Kiss likes to have unknown bands open for them. Rush, many years ago was one of those bands. Ted Nugent put's on a great show! Always fun to see his live performance. Will actually be shoting his show in Portland on the 24th of this month. | ||
