Took her out tonight to rubber neck the local flooding.Stopped to adjust the idle a bit and check the fuel level. All was OK. Gouged her in a couple of gears and ....sputter....like she was out of gas. Put on reserve and nothing. Coasted to a stop and found the fuel filter odd looking........like it was half full of slime on the bottom. Turned it 1/2 turn and saw fuel flow. Took it right home and it ran OK. Looked in the tank with a flash light and it looks like a serving of banana putting was in there. WTF,over!
And flooding.............. No_rice is drowned out to put it lightly.
It's like this all over central Iowa. Freaking crazy.

Sorry to hear about Suzie Q. She's one beautiful S1. It's funny; I'm not making light of the flooding out there, but here the weather has been almost ideal. High 80s mainly for weeks with very little rain. Isn't it screwy how one area gets beautiful weather, while someplace else is having lots of rain? And every year, it's different. I remember one summer when it seldom got over 75° Another summer, it rained every weekend, all weekend long. It was beautiful weather Monday through Friday, but every Saturday and Sunday, it poured for something like 11 weekends in a row.
Crusty, I remember that rainy summer. Boy did I get wet whenever the bike went for a ride. Still remember heading for the clear patches as riding destinations.
