I had the pleasure of seeing Rush perform in Seattle on Saturday night. Was cool to hear Moving Pictires performed live, along with everything else they played. I captured a few pix's from the show. You can see them here. Rush - Seattle 8.7.2010 |

Ya, last time I saw them was Presto, with the huge 50' tall rabbits-in-hats. Unbelievable show. Can't wait to see 'em again. True showmen, they really know how to do it right. |

man im jealous, i saw them on the snakes an arrows tour, 10 rows from the stage, they are sooooo impressive live. Its one of the few bands that the live show is superior to the studio peformance. The economy had work really slow so i had to pass on tickets this time around |

Absolutely my favorite rock band- the progenitors of "prog rock"... My 1st/2nd ever live concert, "Signals" at Municipal Auditorium in Nashville. Me and 2 buddies were dropped off by parents (the coolest!!), picked up afterward. Just breathing the air was plenty. "Red Barchetta" is my all time fave "go-fast" song! |

For those that have yet to see the band on this tour, you're in for an amazing evening! They dust off some of our old fav's and also showcase two new songs, that will be on the next album. They are real hard rocking tunes, reminded me of their early day's. This was my 10th time to see the band. Two of those times was front row. This time was one of the best though! |

I've seen Rush several times over the last two decades- they are unquestionably one of the best live bands you'll ever see. They have also produced one of the best rock and roll albums ever recorded- 2112. Now you've gotten me all fired up to go see them again... |

RBJ...Have to agree with you about 2112. That recording is 34 years old and still holds it own to this day. Also think A Farewell To Kings is right up there. Not to give too much away about the current set list, they do play 2112!

Hey Pdxs3t - I was at White River Amphitheater as well - - fantastic show!! Loved the intro, "Last time someone grabbed my sausage, I had to get remarried...", plus the polka, disco and country renditions of "Spirit". Seen Rush a few times, '85, '92, and this last weekend; truly a band that has gotten better with age (if that was possible)... They "bring it" and the couple of songs they played on their upcoming album really rock! Great stuff, and I really root for a band that doesn't bring multiple musicians to produce the live music in order to match the songs they record in the studio... |

Pny_uly...Very cool! That intro was great. The chick with the mustache was too funny. Have to admit the guy's are pretty good actor's too. Great stuff! The chimps during the intermission (just before they came back on stage) really got me and my son laughing. Hopefully I was able to capture the night as you remember it. |

Saw them at Jones Beach. Aside from a few technical problems with Alex's guitar, that show was outstanding. For a really interesting persperctive of the band, checkout the documentary that came out on DVD a few weeks ago. |

Rush has always been one of my most favourite bands...I didn't much care for the tinny sounding production on the early albums...I always wondered how they would have sounded with a better production company. |

Discovered them while I was in college, quickly became one of my favorite bands. I've seen them twice here locally - first time was the very back row of the amphitheater and right after the show I decided the next time they came I'd spend some money on a good seat. Next time tickets went on sale I was broke, so I had to wait. It was quickly a sold out show save for some lawn seats. Out of the blue, 2 weeks before the show, a friend calls me to tell me a coworker of his is selling two tickets. They were 2nd row seats. He sold them AT COST (they were going for HUNDREDS of dollars at this time). I took both. We were way on the left side of the stage, but still 2nd row. Pretty intense. |

Good band! And Neil Peart rides. If you haven't yet, read his "Ghost Rider". Very good book. Tragic to be sure but a pretty cool ride report as well. |

Ghost Rider is a good read...I think, if he didn't have his motorcycle, he wouldn't be with us today. Here is another pic from Saturday night's show...

Big fan from my high school days. (Moving Pictures). Had a chance to see them in Detroit...Parents wouldn't let me go! Imagine that! Best drummer ever AND he ride his MC to all the shows. The real deal! My screen name comes from the Bob and Doug McKenzie thing, "Take off to the great white North". They did a skit with Geddy on their "album". Love the Steam Punk set! |

Neil actually has 4 books, "Roadshow" is also a motorcycle ride journal, written after he was remarried, and thus considerably happier than during "Ghost Rider." |

Hopefully I was able to capture the night as you remember it Yep, a great night, and fantastic photos (meant to add that to my original post)... Love Geddy's "RASH" shirt, an homage taken from the opening video. I don't want to provide a "Spoiler", but if you're intersted in the opening video sequence, just Google "Rush Time Machine 2010 opening video" or something like it and you'll get a You Tube clip shot from someone in the crowd. Not good quality, but funny. If you're going to see them, recommend not viewing - - wait to see it at the concert. Paul (Message edited by pnw_uly on August 12, 2010) |

I saw the Moving Pictures tour when it ran through the first time in 1981. I had 12th row seats and the opening act was Triumph. It was the second best concert I have ever been to, and one that I will never forget. Geddy is a great showman, but watching Neil Peart live and up close is as good as it gets as far as concerts go. |
