1125rcya, what about the wheelie the cop let you off the hook for? (Pics or it didn't happen ) |

I got a ticket for riding my skateboard in the "Central Business Improvement District". Went to court to fight it, as I don't do tricks, just use it to get from A to B. Still had to pay.

JB2 and Ferris - September 2004 - Unsafe operation(speeding) in a National Park. Federal Driving Offense. Paid the $50.00 with pride then laminated and framed the ticket. I think Ferris kept his too. I can't brag about much but there would be very few people here(except Court and Erik) who has as many speeding tickets as myself. I quit counting about 20 tickets ago. If I make it to October it will be the first time since I got my license that I won't have any current points on my driving record. Think I'll make it? |

Never been ticketed on the bike, had a few lights flashed but never been pulled over. Back in the day, spring of '95, I was ticketed for 94 in a 65 on I-75. |

In my wayward youth at age 16 I got a ticket from the City of North Lauderdale, Florida for riding on the exterior of a vehicle. Went to pay the fine and they couldn't find it in the book so the charged me $11.00. It was worth it. In 1996 I was clocked going 86.24 mph as I crested the top of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge over Tampa Bay. That bridge is wired like a pin ball machine with cameras and fixed radar units. Trooper asked me for my license, registration and proof in insurance. Looked at it a minute and then said "Zane, is that really you?" Turns out it was a trooper I knew from years before that had become a somewhat friend. We spent about 15 minutes catching up and then he sent me on my way with only a warning. |

Here's one for you math gurus....in 1977 I was caught speeding by the FHP while driving my 1970 Chevelle...I was on Hwy 27 heading south headed to the hospital after I got a phone call that said my mom had a stroke. The car had a very healthy 350 with a 4 speed (that had a 1-1 high gear ratio) had 3.08 gears and 27" tall tires....As I came over a slight rise, I saw the cop...I looked at my tachometer and was turning 6,400 rpm....I didn't stop until I got to the hospital....the cop could not prove how fast I was going (the old fashioned radar gun was flashing 88...as in TILT) so I got off reasonably easy.... How fast was I going??? get out the calculators (Message edited by fast1075 on August 10, 2010) |

I recently got one for 89 in a 70. He gave me a break, since I was on the brakes, hard. I was probably doing 110, maybe more, when I saw him. |

Froggy, The cop showed leniency, therefor it didn't happen! A picture would be priceless, but going to jail would be costly! I thought that thread was before anyone saw it. |

when I was working at the dealership, I would get pulled over once a month at least, every month. In six years I had over 100 traffic stops..... but only two tickets. First one pulled off a dirty forest access road to ride to a burger joint, speed limit drops from 55, to 45, to 25 in a matter of two miles and then is right back up to 55..... cop tagged me with the laze in sight of the 55; accelerating from 25 to 55 such that I would have been going 55 by the time I hit the sign.... nailed me for twenty over... it was my birthday so he didnt slap a reckless on it. Two weeks later the judge threw it out. So for all you that want to run through Discovery Bay in Washington; I recommend you take the dirt roads on the perimeter; they are never patrolled. |

1998 Caught doing 80 in a 45. My girlfriend at the time mother was a cop and told me she could get me out of it as long as it wasnt Officer "so and so" who pulled me over. You guessed it, it was Officer "so and so" who pulled me over. At 18yrs old it took 3 extensions to pay it off. |

Yep, still got it. Lucky for us we had ZigZag on our side. It was all your fault - I was simply trying to keep you behind me. What a way to start an around-the-country ride! Worst ticket I DIDN'T get? 150 in a 55. The CHP never got a good radar lock on me, altho was already on the radio setting up roadblocks when I pulled over. Glad I don't have anything to frame from that one... FB |

Back in '00 or '01 past the police department,I was pulled over, and he proceeded to comment on the wheely, then said. That wasn't the smartest thing you did today. was it son........NO sir it wasnt. He had to do something, because of my proximity to the PD,so I got a defect card.....lol The guys I was riding with just about crapped themselves when he returned with a written warning. THAT WAS MY LAST IN TOWN STUPID HUMAN TRICK! |

Cop couldn't spell either Wheely... Too many to list really. None on the bike. Two of the bad ones...99 (cause that's where the truck topped out) in a 70 on I-95 in NC somewhere. Had a warrant issued for that one. I forgot to pay the ticket. I was headed to DC for work. Back in highschool.... 60 in a 35, failure to obey traffic device, something about a right away, blah blah blah. Totaled my car and the guy I "technically" hit. Lost my license for 6 months on that one.. |

23years ago coming back from the Oregon coast on my nighthawk700s, coming through Burns Oregon, using a semi as a front door, we were running about 90-95 in a 55. there was a storm coming and was tring to out run it.Ha, the truck was about 200 yards in front of me when it started to rain & hail, the trk hit is brakes, & i passed him (big mistake) I was getting hit with hail the size of a quarter, I tucked down and backed off of the throttle, and then i noticed head lights RIGHT behind me!! i figured the truck driver couldnt see me? so I got on the throttle hard! after about 1/2 mile i got out of the hail and set up i was doing over 100, when i looked in my mirror a Oregon St trooper was right on me. I pulled over, and to say the least he was very excited!! after i explained i thought the truck was going to run me over, and the fact that the hail had cracked the face shield on my new Nova helmet, & both of my hands were bleeding from being hit. he calmed down and offered me some bandaids, and let me off with a warning.... to not ride fast into a storm?? About a year leater in Utah, Ogden canyon, i got nailed for 70 in a 35, i had let my drivers license exprire, and subosibly he had been chasing me down the canyon?? i never saw him? that time it cost me$400.00 since then i have had a few but nothing out of th normal.... |

I accelerated hard from a light on a Yamaha RD250A. I weighed less than a 100 pounds. I wound it out for 3 1/2 miles. I saw flashing lights way back around the bend and liked watching ambulances go flying by so I sat at my turn just watching the lights. Then I realized it was the police. Big guy put his chest in my face and said,"Boy do you know how fast you were going?" I said no sir my speedometer light is out. He said you should have known you weren't going 55 when you passed those cars like they were standing still. He asked me where I was going. I said home and pointed to the house on the corner. He said that is Reverend Feaster's house. I said yes sir that's where I live. He thought I was lieing so he took me to the door. After finding out I did live there he turned me over to my Grandma and Grandpa with my Grandma scolding me in front of him for having a speedo light out. Last I ever heard of it as soon as she closed the door on him. |
