Seen it before. Still just as ugly as the first time. At least the Thunderstar 1200 looks like a bike someone might want: http://www.southbayriders.com/forums/showthread.ph p?t=34623 |

I think it looks pretty cool. I'd buy it if the price was more realistic. |

I like the look. Raw, and just there, no BS. |

I'm not a fan of diesels, they always sound odd to me... but a diesel bike would be cool, fuel range could be incredible. What is the engine configuration of the ThunderStar? Twin? Triple? Looks like there's a turbo and a belt drive for a supercharger? |

Ugly??? Maybe the mini-exhaust, but the rest I like. It's significantly cleaner looking than that Thunderstar. But they are two completely different types of bikes, for two completely different purposes. Comparing them is silly. |

I love diesels. I've owned two diesel SUV's and I miss them dearly. I would love to have the diesel KLR, but it's stupid expensive. Why in heavens name do manufacturers fanny bang you on price when a vehicle has a diesel engine in it? |

Personally I like the way it looks, but one big question comes to mind. Lets say I am out in the desert or back road trails. Most gas stations I come to in remote areas don't have diesel. So strapping on a 5 gallon can would almost be mandatory for some good offroad adventures. In the long run, is it worth it? ps. love the sound of that motor starting out! |

Huh. I guess I was thinking diesel was readily available in the middle of nowhere because of trucks/heavy equipment/farm machines/etc. I've never really paid attention though, as I've never had a need for it. It does sound amazing. |

Man, I really like that bike. Like a diesel-street KLR. I do think it looks great! |

Well when i actually sat down and thought about it, most remote stations didnt have diesel, however they did have kerosene, which could probably be used. My whole argument is selling the bike for 23,000. That is just ridiculous IMO. Sure it could pull a full size camper behind, if it had traction, but DAYhem! |

Yes, the 23k part will turn most people away. It'd turn me away. But new technology won't be inline pricing wise with the old technology. If you were to tell me a tiny, almost home built company was making a turbo diesel adventure tourer, I would have guessed the price tag woulda been higher than that! |
