You could put a gas tank where the gas tank is supposed to be, and have a 600 mile range. |

so any brilliant ideas? im really thinking a solo seat short tail. but then i need one of those small batteries and im not spending that kind of cash on this project. how many amps do i need to get the blast to crank over. we were talking about building some kind of small battery pack for it. i know its possiable to build custom battery packs for other applications. just not sure how the charging system would like it. im also thinking some kind of different odd ball headlight set up. the lightning headlights would work fine, but this thing is somewhat of an abomination, i may as well make it look like one lol! im figuring odds are i will probably get rid of the switch housings too. i mean its not like the switches will be doing anything more then likely. most of you know it wont have turn signals or any of that extra junk on it! thought i might just have an on off toggle switch and a push button on the starter. there are all kinds of ideas floating around in my head |

Acerbis Cyclops for the lights? Those are funky cool. Dude, this has been a project I've wanted to do forever but just don't have the time, innitiative, or funding for. I'm a sucker for chopped, as short as humanly possible without riding on the tire itself, tails. That's exactly what the tail on my Blast is and I lurve it. Also, I'm sure you could figure something out for a regular battery even with a chopped tail if you are planning on nixing alot of your other electronic gear... I think dat dis is a purdy kewl motorbike projikt, I am excite! |

Ummm I see a spot for your std battery. You just have to keep it smaller than a rear jug. |

You can probably start a Blast with a potato battery. I used my Speedcell 12 cell battery on my Blast for a few days after draining the stocker, way overkill. |

Ummm I see a spot for your std battery. You just have to keep it smaller than a rear jug. ya, i just dont want to put it there. i want to keep that open, but it would be a tight fit(if it fits) because of the way the carb is repositioned now. plus i wonder about the heat from that thing being basically leaned against the cylinder the way i would have to mount it there. i could also put it up where the air box used to be, but again i dont want to put it up that high either. plus shaving another 8-9 pounds off of it would be good! i can pick the bike up off its wheels right now. not like i could carry it around but... the lighter the better with a blast motor pushing it! |

Make it into a Uly jr. Bag it, and ride it cross country getting 70 mpg at 70 mph. |

Actually I would put a plexi-glass base to the airbox area and install all the electricals in there - plenty of room not used for anything else and keeps the weight all in one area. EZ |

Is that an S subframe? Change it to an R, and put the battery where it goes. If it's an R subframe, your set! |

I was going to buy that bike until I found out there was no title. What I was going to do with it was to fuel inject it. It would be way easier with that frame than the blast frame. If you dumped that carb there might be enough room behind the tb for a battery. Strip it down, keep it light. I'm sure you'll come up with some thing you'll like and most people will hate. That's how I build mine. Matt |

getting something on the street in iowa is not difficult at all so no title wont be to much of a hassle. i thought about going the FI route... but then id need a throttle body and have to chop it up and i dont tune FI... |
