Did mine last night, noticed the mms wasnt working up an update through cydia fixes this (along with the current jailbreak version) Make sure you add cydia.hackulo.us as a source in cydia and download INSTALOUS |

Will it build you an island, then turn into a jet, then fly you to that island? (Ok I'm done here, just had to say it ) |

No yet but I hear the next version will teleport you directly to the person you want to speak to. Mark, in a nutshell you can install damn near any app you want as well as third party apps that apple hasn't "approved". Such as flash, you can also unlock it and use a different carrier |

Is there java for unlocked iPones? I read that the processor supports it in op code. |

You mean "Flash"? My iPhone runs java fine. For instance the formatting menu here is all JavaScript. |

Java and Javascript are two completely different things. But yes, it does support Java, just not flash. |

Yep, not the same animal. I'm talking about running a java application using compiled classes etc. |

Nope. Only Cocoa / Objective C from what I have read. |

so what are some good jail break apps to have now? it seems that most of the things I would jail break for I don't need now because of ios4 so what things should I use it for now besides the buell slider and battery app. |

^^ This is my question as well. Flash would be nice, but not needed since many sites have mobile versions now. Using the phone as an internet connection seems cool, but... My phone does pretty much everything I need when not at home, so that's a little lost on me as well. I guess I'm curious as to what must-have apps are out there for a jailbroken phone... I've heard it's really easy to jailbreak and then go back if you don't like it/need/need warranty work. |

I gave this a shot and I'm impressed. Very easy, and I'm LOVING the MyWi 4.0 app. Makes the iPhone a 3G wireless access point (without paying AT&T for the privledge). |

Mark, my main reason for it is to install 3rd party apps that Apple doesn't or won't approve. MCN ride logger , which was approved at one time is no longer there. Great app that I've used at the track to determine braking points and so on. Also usefull for everyday street rides as well. Also the ability to unlock the phone and use whatever carrier I choose is nice as well. Figure it this way. I bought this thing and own it so why not be able to use it the way I want. They don't censor the things I put on my computer so who the hell are they to tell me what I can and can't put on my phone. my phone |

It seems that MCN ride logger is back on the app store because I downloaded it in INSTALOUS and the app store is wanting me to download an update for it. OF course they also want me to pay $7.99 for that update. |

BTT! So guys, favorite app/install? Mine is SBSettings. SO much easier and quicker to turn things off/on as well as free up memory and other stuff. I also like the memory thing I have (though I can't remember what it's called) that shows my available RAM next to the clock at the top. |
