Is it just me or did he freak out cuz that truck got so close? That's what it looked like to me.

I think he tried braking too fast, and the geometry of the CG with a low gyro stabilization resulted in a flop. Money can't buy brains. But it sure could've bought some better gear. Hey, I've got an idea: Let's put a v-12 in it next time! That bike would be cooler with a stabilization setup. And a motor that wasn't so.... soo...... GAY

I talked with him at Bonneville in 02 or 03, he was an interesting sort.. He made a short run on the short track on his V6 Buick version, not very fast but interesting to watch. Thosr buggers are pretty unstable.. He had a couple of different versions with him. I'll see if I can track down some pictures.

Every other pass he had his feet down and looked unstable except while traveling in a straight line...the big nancy.

Nice safety gear, dork... I have a theory on the events leading up to this video: "Is the experimental monocycle loaded into the truck?" "yeah dad" "we're gonna take it somewhere where there is other cars driving right?" "yeah dad" "Oh wait, I better grab my sleeveless shirt and my beanie.....just in case!"

I seen what he was wearing and couldn't bring myself to watch the crash part of the video. TOOL!

doesn't matter how much stabilization one of these things has, there is no way to ever stop one of these things in a reasonable amount of time, against the laws of physics. Maybe some sort of jet or rocket assist reverse thrust mechanism to prevent the inevitable heavy braking rollover of motor and rider.

It's a novelty. Bad concept all around, IMHO.

That was pretty awesome actually! Would that be considered a low side or high side? That thing has tags - somebody at DMV decided it was OK to make it street-legal - amazing!

That dude was terrified of that bike. Every time he even thought about slowing down or taking a curve, he put both feet down. Useless design. ~SM
