Had to go past the Ex's, and she was angry, ugly and foul smelling. Took an evening ride on the 'bolt, it has never run better. Came home to The Very Beautiful, the Very Talented, Mrs. Strato, whom I will be leaving on an incommunicado holiday with tomorrow A.M. I have a cooler full of fine meats and cheeses, a bottle of Glenmorangie Lasanta, a collection of great music (top on the list at the moment are "Them Crooked Vultures", "AnthemX", and Slash's "RnFnR"), and a small amount of herbal supplements. Life is sooooooo freakin' good!

Well.. I found out yesterday I will receive my Journeyman (toolmaker) card in March, followed up by a nice raise. And within a year I should be pretty much the man in charge of Enerpac Workholding's design and manufacturing of high and low pressure hydraulic, and pneumatic fixtures for the machining world. 4.5 years ago my dream was to be making fixtures for the company I WAS working for, now it looks like I actually made some good decisions.
And to think almost 2 years ago I kicked who I thought was going to be my wife out of my life. Had foreclosure of my home on the horizon, ( due to her not paying the taxes on the house and making me think she did) there is more to it but I have moved on..

Im livin the dream everyday. I ride my bike(s) everyday to a job I actually like. Im happily married to a woman Ive been with for nearly 20 years and Im only 37. I have 2 happy healthy genuinely good kids. I get togather once a week to hang out with my Dad, aunt, uncles, cousins allong with my other extended family.

When I was young I thought that when I got older I wanted nice things. As I got older I realized that "things" dont make you happy. Mabey for an instant but in the long run its about so much more than that.

I wasnt always this happy. I used to always wonder "what if" I had done this instead... As you get older you realize that the grass usually isnt that green on the other side of the fence anyway. Turns out if I would just look down the grass is pretty green right where Im standing.

I've been enjoying landscaping work at the rent house and bonding with and training Michele's dog, who for some odd reason is partial to me. Too sweet since my former best buddy, Roger the Border Collie, was partial to her. : ]. I think Roger resented me for my engineering career, something he knew he could never have. joker

Although I've been dealing with alot of family issue's.... My Mom very ill and a Bother that is financially very much in trouble. We worry about him very much. I went for a ride today with the Wife. Also took my Daughter with us. It put a smile on my face that made me feel good. Something I really haven't had for months.

Just got in from work, made good $$$ and got along with my co-worker who has occasional douche-canoe potential. Watching "Nature" on PBS and fooling around on the 'puter.

Gonna sleep in, then go work tomorrow nite, then 3 days off.

Life doesn't suck too bad...

I spent the weekend with 70-80 friends at my 35th High School reunion.
Folks I hadn't seen in over 20-30 years came and it was like we had never been apart. It was a great event and I still didn't get to talk to everyone I wanted to.
I left with a big smile!
