Skim the pond scum from your work force quickly and with out remorse. Libs Love natural selection. Peter Madoff was a customer till o7 when i fired him ( Bernies Soon to be jailed brother ) Till he asked me lie to his insurance company about water damage in his home. He kept asking what I did and that he was a Broker on wall street and he ran multi million dollar company. Told that was nice I run several multi million companies as well. He asked again what do you do. Where I stand is civilization Im a Mechanical , Electrical Engineer and do contracting in both fields. Some of us do run our own companies keep the sales and mba weasels on a short leash. One lies to your customers every day to make a sale the MBA lies to you the owner to keep his job. the low level time wasters and theives have to kept in check as well. Not all "sales guys" are liars and any that lie to your customers should be fired immediately. |

A parable: Once upon a time, the parts of the body were arguing over who was the most important. The feet said that without US, you'd be able to get nowhere. The heart said that without ME, you'd lose circulation and activity would slow to nothing. The lungs said without US, you'd not be able to get oxygen circulated and again, you'd slow to nothing. The eyes said that without US, you'd be unable to read, to navigate, to learn. The brain said, shucks without ME, you'd all be out of control, I CONTROL ALL OF YOU. ... meanwhile the a$$hole is sitting quitely through the whole argument. He decides to plug up. The feet start to shake, the heart starts beating faster and getting weak, the lungs start breathing heavier, the eyes get unfocused, and the brain starts getting fuzzy and distracted. They ALL give in. Just goes to show you that you don't have to be the most important part of a system, but if you're an a$$hole, you can really take charge. Stirz007, I totally agree. If you don't dump them you are running your own form of welfare system on someone who does not fit in and is costing you and the rest of your business valuable time and resources. As I mentioned those kind can take you down in a small business. To keep them they would have to show some incredible desire to learn. You hire people to make money for the business, if they cannot cut it, they had better be related to you, and have leverage with your spouse. That way you can take the costs of your anchor from any funding that would have been shared there. |

It's not the people you fire who cause you problems, it's the people you don't. |
