The JIT compiler in 2.2 makes a huge difference. I too am looking forward to Flash support, but the quick compiling java apps are going to be sweet. I have an X, so I already have the mobile hot spot feature. Very sick phone. |

You still can't do handsfree voice dial. I use a helmet bluetooth and you can not initiate a call without stopping a pulling out the phone. |

Man Im jealous! I dont have an upgrade due for another year! I was mad verzion didnt offer the htc evo or HD2 but it appears from research the droidx has the advantage and is offered by verizon. |

Get a Sprint based phone and then unlock it. I know many Verizon users who have a Sprint HTC TouchPro because the Verizon version is crippled. |

I really want the Droid X. My BB Storm blows ... slow to navigate in GPS and internet even with great coverage, constantly have to remove battery to purge RAM. I wish I could somehow upgrade without paying the full $500+ retail price of it. Been with VZ Wireless for about 10 years now. I don't think my contract is up until next year or so ... fat chance for me. Maybe I'll just get the Droid 2 when it comes out ... I don't really like the first Droid, though. Keep it all touchscreen IMO, that's why I like the X. I always look up lyrics and stuff when I do coffee house gigs and such, but with the BB it takes FOREVER. |

"You still can't do handsfree voice dial. I use a helmet bluetooth and you can not initiate a call without stopping a pulling out the phone." That is not an accurate statement. I took my Droid X today, paired it with my Scala Rider II and it worked just fine. It also works just fine with my bluetooth in the truck, and my wife's sync in her Ford. Not sure where you got that information, but voice commands DO WORK with the new Droid X. |

Ok, got the upgrade price and ordered on the 1st. The customer service guy said it wouldnt ship till the 18th. Alot of people are getting theirs early from the projected shipping dates so hopefully thats the case with mine. These things just wont stay on the shelves. |

there are a lot of posts on Droid sites about Froyo 2.2 coming out next week I called Verizon today and they told me that starting next week, Froyo 2.2 upgrade will start rolling out to their users in different stages. Hopefully I'll get my upgrade next week. I've already seen it in action and I like it!!! |

My EVO got froyo yesterday, so far seems nice, and it a bit quicker. As for wanting an EVO on Verizon, my evo roams on VZ just fine (And roaming is included with my plan), And the plan is cheaper than VZ per month (So Win?) |
