How about holding on to the remaining shirts for the next few races (Laguna, VIR) and keep using them as a fund raising tool. There were a few Badwebbers who mentioned they'd like to contribute but couldn't right now, and probably a few who haven't heard about them yet. Yes! | ||

I spent the whole day in the pits.. right in front of #99's bike. It was a lot of fun watching the teams scramble to make use of their 50 minute practice sessions. During qualifying Geoff was a few seconds off the pace. He came in and he jumped on the spare bike and took about 2 seconds off his lap times In the morning his best time was 1:29 and some change in the afternoon he go it down to 1:27 and some change To get the pole he will need to get it in the 1:25 range | ||

Just curious but what happened to the original design? NUMBER ONE - WHAT THE SHIRT LOOKS LIKE: The shirt is iHEATHER INDIGO and will have Charcoal graphics. The BACK will be identical to the Homecoming 201 shirts with ERIK BUELL RACING and the Pegasus logo large enough to be read at a distance. This will maintain a clarity and consistency. I suspect ERIK BUELL RACING shirt are going to start drawing some attention . . . we, as the rabid owner . . want to be communicating a clear message. The FRONT will simply say: "Pegasus . . . wo der Hammer hängt"  | ||

The original design was replaced with a new design. Stuck with the same color shirt, graphics and left the back the same. I like the consistency on the back with the ERIK BUELL RACING. The front is the "NEVER GIVE UP !" which has become the defacto rallying mantra of ERIK BUELL RACING. I'm hoping to see them in NYC today and to start shipping ASAP. Not sure if they will get here today or Monday. The shirts going to Laguna Seca will be first priority. | ||

If you are at Mid Ohio, the plan still stands... There are a limited number of extras on site, more available Sunday, if you are going to be at Mid Ohio and paypal Court. He will shoot us a message indicating you paid, and you can pick up your shirt(s). We won't really be "selling" them at the track, just friends handing them off to friends that already paid for them.

Wish I had some pics for ya. The AMA official I was working for would have had a $hit fit if I would have been taking pictures while I was on hot pit. Sad to say I didn't stay at the track for the races today. I was burnt out after getting up at zero dark 30 then riding for about a hour and a half to get to the track for the last 3 days.... I damn near fell asleep on the ride home. It was fun talking to the James Gang crew and I even got to plug the tire on the pit bike for them..... I think Ken should have some pics to post when he gets a chance | ||

The first shipment went out last night, the rest will be packaged and go out tomorrow. For those of you who ordered TWO OR MORE shirts . . they will come in seperate packages . . . mostly since I bought the same size mailing envelopes. MANY folks appear to have neglected to include or provide a SHIRT SIZE. Some of those I am reconciling by matching the Paypal information with Vamp's. I'l be sending e-mails to those we need more info from. If you are looking for a shirt at LAGUNA SECA: Thomas and Sparky (who'd paid and asked to have their delivered to Laguna Seca) can pick up your shirts at the LOVE SHACK from Joanne Lighton. I've sent extras to Joanne so if you are looking for one at Lagnua Seca find Joanne at the Love Shack. I have to tell you . . . . I wasnt't thrilled about the shirt when I first saw it. It was a bit a product of trying to get the best possible shirt out to accomplish our goal while maintaining the most consistent and simple message. Then when I started seeing the shirt . . .in the heather indigo with the charcoal print . . it REALLY grew on me. It's kind of subtle and makes a viewer pay attention. It works nicely. I'm thinking the next one we go "off the edge" and go with some wild red, blue, yellow graphics and am American flag on the sleeve. The coolest part about this is YOU. You guys stepped up and made the deal happen and made it happen when it needed to happen. The new ERIK BUELL RACING TEAM SUPPORTER site (Search ERIK BUELL RACING TEAM on Facebook)just went up and I hope everyone will take the opportunity to help there as well. It's so cool to see the program fueled by enthusiastic owners . . . someday . . . with a big sponsor on hand, you guys and gals will have the pride of knowing you helped drive the racing effort. Most of all a big THANK YOU. | ||

I think the next fundraising item should be a hat. A nice modern fit stretch hat with the Erik Buell Racing logo on the front and maybe elf on the back. This could get expensive once we start getting to the leather jackets! | ||

Last year the WV Buell Rally raised $1000.00 bucks for one of the local football teams so they could buy new jerseys for the kids. This years WV Buell Rally benefactor will be Erik Buell Racing. What I would like to do is a silent auction. I have some Buell stuff that I can part with for a good cause and in my mind Erik Buell Racing is a good cause. What I would like to see people do is bring your Buell stuff that you can part with and put it on the auction block. It doesn't matter what it is... some one else might be able to use it... muffler clamp... tire plug kit.. Buell sticker... If you have stuff just collecting dust, bring it so someone else can bid on it, buy it and take it home and let it collect dust in there house for awhile. Court is digging thru his archives of Buell swag and is also sending a couple of signed books.... we could see some cool Buell history! Once its all said and done I will make the donation in my fathers name. He refuses to take a dime for all the food and effort he and the rest of my family and friends put into this event so I though this would be a great gesture. | ||
