I am looking for a new pair of gloves. These will be my track/street gloves, heavy on the track. After internet research and asking a few people for personal opinion, I recently had my favorite local store (non Harley) order me a pair of Racer brand gloves. I was sure these were European made gloves from an Austrian company. When they arrived I was pretty impressed with the fit, construction, and features. As I was leaving with my purchase I decided to look at the label just to be sure. Angry and frustrated, I left these brand new, MADE IN CHINA, $250.00 gloves on the counter and told them to send them back.

So, I am asking for your help. What brand of glove do you wear and where are they made? (please look at the label before responding)

If no one can find a non chinese made glove, I will go back and get my favorite new glove. Thanks in advance.

Cortech Adrenaline made in China.

You might check with Bates Custom Leathers, pretty sure they actually cut and stitch in the USA (but could be wrong). http://www.batesleathers.com/index.php

Spartan and a few others are coming from Pakistan. No idea where AGV really comes from, but I bet the mass produced stuff is mostly overseas. All the Harley stuff is made in China.

NJK Leathers (NJKLeathers.com) used to make really nice gloves.

I'm checking with them to see if they still are.

Helimot gloves are made in the good ol' USA and look real good, racers seem to give them highest recommendations, and they are only about 200 bones for the top of the line ones. I am running held's right now, but I think they are Chinese now, they use to be German, and were a grade up in quality then.

My next pair will be Helimot.

Aren't Held made in Germany?

From webbikeworld.com:

"The company is still run by the Held family, and although the stitching and some of the manufacturing is sourced worldwide, the design, raw material sourcing and final inspection is still done in the Held factory in Burberg, Germany. "

I bought a pair of Held Steve's year before last and IIRC they were made in Hungary

I have a pair of Racer "Sicuro" and Helimot gloves. The Helimot's are made in San Jose CA.
The Racer is probably the best glove I've worn. I like the relatively subtle look, the extensive armor and ... a neat feature... the last two finders are webbed. This can save the pinkie if you go down.

I've worn the Helimot's about 6 times. They're comfortable, but the fingers are a tad long. If someone is interested in them I'll let 'em go cheap. em me at fogpirate at gmail dot com

I haven't tried these yet. However they have two categories, Import and USA, these were in the USA category.

I think their leather is some of the best quality there is.

Thanks all. Anyone else please post up.

Reg, Sicuro is exactly what I ordered. Great fit, excellent features, and a really good looking glove. If I cannot find a good pair of non chinese I will be keeping them.

Lee Parks Design has really nice gloves made in People's Republic of California. They're more on the street side though.
