Over the years I've run into more than one person that asked me about my Booell but the other day I pulled up to a traffic light and a guy on a Yamaha looked at my tank [air box] and said "Is that one of those Bullies" I thought about it for a minute and said - Pretty much! |

I hear ya, last year the principle of the local High School brought me the deck off his lawn tractor to weld and when he walked into the shop he went over to one of my boowell's and he pointed his finger at the AMERICAN MOTORCYCLES emblem on the tank and stated aren't these made in France. |

I was getting back on the CR when a younger kid, 18-20, asked me "is that on of them Buell's by Harley?" I was impressed he said Buell correctly. Well the 40+ dude in ear shot, stopped the Kid and so "no son that's a Benelli" The look on the old guys face when I corrected him and telling him the kid was right was priceless. the old guy then said "We'll there both made in Italy" acting as if well I was half right, when I said no sorry, this was made in Wisconsin. Put a smile on my face the rest of the way back home. |

Some of my favorites from my many years of boo-ill ownership. "The only reason I don't got me one dem boo-ills is cuz I just don't trust German engineering." After arriving @ a local bike nite @ the local HD dealership,,, "Who brought the JAP CRAP?!?!?" Them =Boo-ill??? who makes it? Me = Buell. Them =Yeah, who makes it. Me = Honda. Them = Yeah, thats what a thought. I just could not remember. Nice bike. Me = Thanks. (Message edited by barker on July 17, 2010) |

I forgot who it was that said this before but.... Hey! Your bike's still running! No it's off. Then why's it making that noise? That's just the nuclear reactor powering down. |

Norbert,Jim,Annie and myself were in the gift shop on top of Mount Washington during the Northeast Touring Adventure. When a retired couple and their friend asked where we were traveling to and from.Jim told them about the Buell motorcycle event we were riding in and our destination was Portland Maine. Well, the friend missed the motorcycle part and said, how do you arrange feed for those mules on such a long trip? After the laughter died down the woman explained we were riding Buell motorcycles, not hungry mules! |

When I cut the Uly off I'd tell people I brought the Hoover along in case I needed to do a little light work. |

I had one guy tell me he had been thinking about getting a bull motorcycle after seeing mine, but he got a 93 cadillac instead. And people tell me all the time that I left my key on. Amy the rest think it's a duc. It makes me smile. |

I used to get various questions at a red light... Q. "Is that a 600?" A. "Yes, the front cylinder is. And so is the rear" Q. "Is that one of those new Ducati's?" A. "Yep." (explaining things to idiots is tedious) |
