so i've got one fork done, all is good.
i screwed up with the removal & ended up having to perform the damper rod reset procedure. which on the first fork was a piece of cake. now on the other one i thought i would do it also just to make sure they are the same.
only problem is on this one as i screw in the rebound adjuster it never bottoms out! it will turn out and max but turning in it just screws in way down into the rebound adjuster assy. any ideas?
maybe this explains why my bike has been handling like crap??

ok, after installing the rebound damper adjuster (the blue part) on the damper rod with the locknut all the way down i was able to get the adjuster to bottom out. but it is about 1/4 inch down into the blue part. so i'm thinking the part inside the rod that the rebound damper needle bottoms on has moved?
does this make sense to anybody?? lol

yes it's in the fork removal & installation section. under"damper rod assembly"
"disassembly of damper rod is not reqd unless damper locknut has been moved" (which i did on accident)

after reading it five or six more times it seems to me that my orifice that the rebound needle bottom out against has moved down about a quarter inch in the tube.

ok good news is i figured it out. bad news is i'm a moron.
the jam nut was upside down. all is good now.
as usual i learn things the hard way by screwing up and doing it three or four times until i have mastered it!

so if anyone ever has any questions about rebound adjustment or fork rebuilds feel free to hit me up. i've done mine a couple times now : )
