Great interview and as always Eriks great sense of humor tops it all off!!! His promo, " Hi this is Erik Buell and I may not have a motorcycle company anymore, but i still listen to pitpass radio!" Ah hahahahah! |

Very good, I can't wait to buy a new Erik Buell Racing Motorcycle. I hope 2011 is our year to put more of his motorcycles on the road. |

Pretty cool interview. Erik again confirmed his plans to start producing street bikes. Basically he said the new bike would be very much like the Barracuda but that it would have to be a new design due to the IP rights. He said something to the effect that they are working on designing to avoid conflict with existing patents at present. Initial bikes will be limited production, high-dollar models. Oh, he did mention that the Uniplanar mounting patents, used on all tubers and XB's, had expired years ago. So, I guess if he get a hankering to start building 45 degree V-twin air cooled sport bikes again, there's no problem with IP there. |
