Awesome! i cant wait till i move off the rock and get back to civilization so i have the chance to see some more drag racing! or any kind of motor sports for that matter, the moped gangs that race in and out of traffic here just don't do it for me!

There used to be a drag strip at Kalihi, but that was many years ago.

That was just cool!

If anyone asked me who in the World would be a person with the closest persona to Erik Buell that I can think of, I would have to say it would be Don Garlits.

Having met him a few times, and having toured his museum, you can see the innovative thinking, the sacrifices, and feel the hand, that reached out to make Drag Racing the sport that it is. He always took the time to have a conversation with a fellow bodyman and autograph some stuff for me and my kids.

In the world of motor-heading and motor engineering, he put Florida on the map, not to be out done by the popular California crowd.

Very Cool.

As Don Garlits says, "You gotta have some fun when you get old."

A creed to live by.
