I agree, that's a first for me too. After a moments thought, seems safer than a crew on the cliff. I think the Aussies still have a few F-111's, a sonic boom would work even better......If the road wasn't buried! |

I've seen helicopters used for trying to dry an amphitheater after it rained for a concert but never anything like that. Maybe they can use it like a giant weed wacker and chip off the loose stuff |

You never had to polish bug strikes off a prop, I can tell. I've seen pics of rotor blades with bullet holes in them....and the pilots shook for a while after they were pointed out by ground crew. Helicopter rotor blades are highly sophisticated insanely strong wings that can, and do, disintegrate on a twig. |
