You can complain! - Harley Aus discontinued it locally 2 years before HD discontinued Buell. The scars are starting to heal. |

This makes me feel so much better... The Wisconsin Employees' Right to Know Law specifically exempts lutefisk in defining "toxic substances". |

My home is on the edge of a small town. I get to hear straight piped harley's leaving town from a stop sign a little over a block away. Wide open, three gears and they aren't even hardly breaking the speed limit. What a waste of fuel and straight pipes. I love it.....cept the sound I used to enjoy is slowly running into the realm of annoying and I'm starting to dig the IL4's hitting the chip and really going some place fast......even tho most are damned squids. All entertaining, regardless............ |

I like lutefisk, even if it tarnishes the silverware. I especially like the wooden boxes it came in and the fact the the onions, potatoes and gravy is as white as the lutefisk - less complicated. I'm especially glad I only eat it once a year and can wash it down with a good beverage. |

a few years back, one of my work buddies insisted i ride his new heritage soft-tail, he was gonna bring it to work for me to ride. he thought my buell was really cool, and he wanted me to try his new ride. well, six months later, he finally rides the bike to work one day. (i would be surprised if this bike gets ridden more than a dozen times a year.) well, he makes me ride it, so i take it for a spin. wow, what a joke of a ride. i can see why there's so many of these on the road going the speed limit or slower. absolutely zero fun. may as well be in a car. i didn't have the heart to tell him what i thought of his bike. (also, i wanted to stay on his good side - he's a former championship bodybuilder, lol!) when i get old and no longer enjoy sporting bikes, (am i old, at 54?), i will be on a standard bike, 500 lbs max. something like a buell uly, bmw r-series, ducati multistrada, etc... or, am i already on it, w/my slightly hotted up (90rwhp) s2? if i get old and RICH, and can afford a dozen bikes, one will surely be a road king, yust cuz i think they're such eye candy. (well, now, since h-d fvcked over buell so badly, maybe not...) ymmv, doug s. |

Cycle World's Magazine is for the "HOBBIEST" in the "SPORT" of Motorcycling. You can make fun of Harley Davidson all you want too, Sportster alone still outsold Buell for the last 25 Years. |

And the F150 outsold the Ferrari F450. It doesn't mean that the F150 is a better vehicle or that it's even a good vehicle. Sportsters outsold Speed Triples and 1098s as well. What's the point? |

Evidently. There were also more bags of manure sold in 2009 than all units of Harley Davidson. Manure must be superior to Harley Davidson motorcycles. |

I traded in an '07 883R for the Uly. With no more Buell, I'll go back to another sporty when(if?) I ever get weary of the Buell. Ran perfectly, no problems, next to no vibration, good brakes, easy to obtain parts, huge parts interchangability ( is that a word?) and the only complaint I ever had was that the suspension was considerably less than confidence/sport inspiring. My '71 ironhead has a better setup (admittedly, it took years to sort out). It's a motorcycle, not a deity. I ride what I ride because it pleases me to do so. |

Hmmmmm... so Harley's well documented ineptitude of marketing Buells has nothing to do with those skewed figures either? |

"Hmmmmm... so Harley's well documented ineptitude of marketing Buells has nothing to do with those skewed figures either?" I don't see a whole lot of marketing for any sportbikes. Most sportbike marketing comes from racing and magazines, Buell had problems with both. Wasn't H-D's fault that early Buells were unreliable and seemed to have problems on every motorcycle magazine test. Also wasn't H-D's fault that Buells were not competitive in top level racing for most of the companies history. Lets not forget the other problem with buell marketing, price. Does it suck that Buell is no more, yes but that is how the market works, there were still new 2008 1125's on the showroom floor, how is this H-D's fault? |

"Also wasn't H-D's fault that Buells were not competitive in top level racing for most of the companies history" So when H-D management dictates what you can and can't do with your engines it's not their fault? |
