Awww GEEZ RT! You sure can kill a good buzz! Court needs a personal assistant to watch for those papparazzi! I JUST threw all my discretionary cash into TWO melted race engines... and within a couple weeks will pony up for a pair of shirts for Sunny and me. | ||

I just sent in my donation ... Make sure you send your PayPal payment as a "PERSONAL" payment, not as a "purchase" payment ... if you have any balance in your PayPal account, they don't take out any fees for a "PERSONAL" payment ... and the fee is smaller, regardless where the money comes from (debit or CC), if you pay the "Personal" payment (I checked that it was a "GIFT"). I just want to keep PayPal's cut, on the Buell Tire Fund, to a minimum ... Thanks Court! - Bud | ||

Well that's about as sick a picture as I can imagine . . . . the good thing is that I have enough of RT to hold him at bay . . . You guys and gals are really something. This is going to be a fair chunk of work but I think it's exciting as can be. The idea that Badweb can actually . . . . through our efforts . . . play such a significant part of making sure the Buell appears at BOTH Mid-Ohio and Lagnua Seca. I'm going to need to call in some help from "Little Cat V". . . . Vamp drop me a note . . . I'd like to have you go back through those 49 or so who expressed interest, get their shirt size, contact information, including mailing and e-mail address and compile it in an Excel file. We're going to be cutting it close. I have artwork coming on Monday and I've committed to a 2 hour turn around on the approval so printing can start Monday and we can get the shirts to Mid-Ohio in time. We're going to "split ship" which is why I need the names of all who want shirts who will NOT be at the races. I'm going to have ordered shirts sent to me for shipping and all the rest to the race track. I'm going to need some on-site support at both tracks. I suspect we can get the shirts hauled from Ohio to California in the Buell truck but The Factory Elves will be busy. I'm faced with the choice of either flying Spiderman and Ourdee to California and then having to contend with a pissed off Govenator or building a Badweb sales staff. I think we can do this. Did I mention what the final design was ? ? ? . . . or the pricing? Remind me . . .we'll get to that soon. Most of all and most importantly . . THANK YOU. Goeff May and Erik Buell Racing at Laguna Seca? Fantastic! Hey, suppose we could sell Erik Buell Racing T-shirts at the Love Shack? It's usually Buell Central at the track any ways. Everybody should be able to find it --> imagine running straight off the track at the left hander down from the Corkscrew (like Danny did last year) and up the bank to the big trailer with the overhanging "veranda" and Buell banner... Regardless, put me down for 2, size L please. | ||

Yeah I'm just gonna throw out there that I would wait to purchase a shirt until pricing has been finalized. Not to mention the cost of shipping for those not picking them up. And maybe even PayPal fees... The PayPal address was placed out there for donations to be made. Anxiously awaiting details....and trying to scrape up money! | ||

UPDATE: Okay . . here's were we are at and man oh man are you folks AMAZING. I leave for a day, get home and nearly 40 of you have Paypal'd funds. This is AMAZING support for the ERIK BUELL RACING EFFORT and I'm thinking we'll have amassed an impressive tire fund ! ! Couple details:
Just to close again . . . This is really cool. I've got 200 shirts on the way and I've told the folks at ERIK BUELL RACING that the Badweb goal is to buy ALL the tires for both Mid-Ohio AND Laguna Seca. Our goal is an ambitious one . . to raise $6,000 (tires have been running about $3,000 per race) for tires. I think we can do it and the most amazing part is that the GUYS AND GALS of BADWEB have played huge part in tipping the go/no go scales in favor of Geoff May appearing on the Buell at Laguna Seca. This is going to be a huge effort and, as you can see, it'll require pretty much non-stop driving from Mid-Ohio just to get to Laguna Seca. I'm excited . . you guys and gals continue to amaze! |
