I don't know how many years ago it was, but Godsmack came to the Buell factory for a meet and greet before their show at Alpine Valley. I remember that we had heard about it on the way to the show and stopped by...it was a pretty cool time! Someone on a silver S3 decided to show of for the band and do a wheelie in the parking lot and ended up crashing. I think the only thing hurt was the dude's pride. Sully (lead singer from Godsmack) signed his tank with "Nice F'n Crash". I know that most of the guys are avid bike riders and did quite a few M and Gs at Harley shops.
Anyone else notice that the editing on the video lines up the 'bad times' lyric as they pan Tony in Buell shirt, head in hand? Can't tell me that wasn't deliberate.
That shot pretty much sums up how I felt when the announcement finally set in for me.
"I think the only thing hurt was the dude's pride. Sully (lead singer from Godsmack) signed his tank with "Nice F'n Crash". " Heheheeee, love it!
I went hunting on youtube last night and found some cool stuff by Godsmack, some cool vids too. Found some nice Disturbed tunes too. I'll check out Down and COC It was very cool listening to rock stations in the US, they play heavier stuff than here
Someone on here mentioned Chevelle to me a while ago, and I'm really starting to get into them too.
Very coooool, thanks Seether has been my fav band for the last 12 months or so, I have all their albums now. Alice In Chains and Helmet are two of my favourite bands, and I've been listening to Shinedown a lot lately. Starting to get into Disturbed. Of the rest I've heard one or two songs of about half of them, quite a few of the others are new to me. Time to go digging for stuff
With the exception of a couple of Shinedown and Seether songs, it would be very rare for any of the bands above to get airplay on commercial "rock" radio here . JJJ is the national "youth" radio station here, but they only play about 10-20% rock, so I don't listen to them much.
I lost my Buell Racing shirt that Court gave me. Gutted. It would be cool to say in a card game or a bet or something, but I probably got messed up and left it in a hotel.
I hope to find it one day in the great odd-sock repository in the sky.
Shannon Larkin the drummer lives in the same town as the Harley/Buell dealer I worked at. He purchased a Heritage softail & we saw him pretty often between tours. He is a really nice guy, we talked one day about our kids & I mentioned mine was a drummer in Jr HS at the time & a fan of Godsmack. The next day Shannon showed up with autographed CD's for him. A few weeks later I was scheduled to work one of our town's bike nites, Shannon told me to have my son there & he would stop by...watching my normally wise-mouthed teenage son "starstruck" was priceless...
My buddy is named Dustie, he recently purchased a Buell Lightning, he is a guitarist in a band. For some of you that are into metal and hardcore you may be familiar with the group - Between The Buried And Me.
I had dinner with him about a year ago and was wearing a HD shirt and we started talking bikes and he said he wanted a bike etc etc etc, well then about two months ago he hits me up and says 'dude im getting a bike tomorrow' 'yeah, what you getting?' buell I flipped out, nice to see another bueller, now for him to come home from tour so we can go ride.
I do not know how to post videos on here to I'd do the embedding thing with the group
