That's pretty cheap. They have the same helmet on Amazon for $90.00. |

With helmets, size is just part of the equation, shape is even more important. However, normally the manufacturer does not state the shape of their helmets - Shoei and Arai being notable exceptions. Bottom line: it rarely is a good idea to buy a helmet with out trying it on, unless one is familiar enough with the model to know it will fit for sure. For example, I know Arai Profile, (the long oval shape), will fit me, but most other XL's do not. |

The Shark RSI is a long oval shape- it's one of the few helmets that I can wear. I currently have an RSI (Laconi replica), a Suomy Spec-1R (Hodgson replica), and an Arai Signet GT-R (solid) because they all fit my head properly. I retired an Arai GT-R (Cathcart replica) after it saved my life in 2008- thank you Arai! Here's a helpful list of helmet shapes: http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcycle-helmets/mot orcycle-helmet-shapes.htm |

+1 on the importance of helmet shape. I picked up an RSI a couple of years ago for ~$200, but $70 is pretty amazing. Thanks for the heads-up! (Message edited by hughlysses on July 05, 2010) |

Update- UPS showed up today, gots my $100 Shark!!, SWEEEEET helmet, quite light, fits very snugly, but I expect it's about right for proper fitment. Should break in just fine! What's kewler, is that it matches the blue on my CityX AND the purple on my Shovel! Gotta admit it's weird wearing a fullface whilst on the Shovel, but will be more weird wearing the Shark. DILLIGAF. I'm happy with the helmet. On full inspection, the label inside shows that it was manufactured 11/06- which means I just bought a brand-new 3 1/2 year old helmet. I'm OK with that, but that would explain the hella good price I paid.

I got mine Monday evening. I had purchased another Shark RSI from another on-line dealer a couple of years ago. It was supposed to be XL, but they shipped an L. It seemed to fit OK, so I didn't send it back. This helmet in XL is a big improvement. I definitely like the blue graphics too. |
