Browsing around ebay tonight I found this... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Buell-Brochure-Ruth less-Engineering-Decal-NEW-/300439769789?cmd=ViewI tem&pt=Apparel_Merchandise&hash=item45f39b12bd The seller also has the mini frisbee on there. Now I don't know how anybody else here feels about it, but I screwed up my face in disgust. Before paint has even (metaphorically) dried someone is trying to sell them. These were not only given to loyal fans and customers, but free of charge. I for one would not be giving mine away, let alone trying to sell for profit at the expense of somebody who couldn't make it to the event. Very disappointed. |

I thought these were being sold for like $6 or something? |

Hhhmmm as far as I know everyone I saw had them given to them as a 'thanks for coming'. Either way, it seems a little disrespectful. |

I do believe the frisbees were handed out as freebies. Parasite is an appropriate description. I agree, this is pretty shameful - and unfortunately also predictable. |

I can see your point of view, particularly if they were free. I can also see an opposing view, that an individual has the right so sell any item which belongs to him/her. I would not sell my things, but then again I did not go there looking to score deals for later profit. On a positive note, it's not as bad a listing as this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2007-Redneck-Engine ering-Mutant-Satin-Black-Buell-/190388559525 |

It's just a brochure. It isn't a birthright. I suspect that for those that already have one, they won't be seeking another or by this one, and for those who weren't there the brochure won't have much value. It's kind of a "you have to be there" thing. |

They were given away FREE. Vickie and Erik wanted to have something as a "give away" momento. |

I believe in capitalism, it made America great. I also believge in freedom. If no one is being hurt by this small act of capitalism, who am I to persecute it? God bless America, freedom and capitalism

+1 It's just a brochure. It isn't a birthright. Although, Vampress I can understand your facial expressions, it was the same with me too, as Route 66 HD handed me nearly all the Buell SWAG as I was the last person to by the last Buell on their showroom floor. Sales and GM said... "Hey, since all of our Buells are gone... take this stuff too" They were very nice people, but it was kind of like don't let the door hit ya on the way out... Vampress,I have a few extra Buell Books like the ebay link up top if you want one. |

Yeah, yeah, yeah... freedom and all that. Capitalism... history flag waving... We got all that. Doesn't change the bad smell however. |

Thousands and thousands of Americans have died defending "Freedom and all that... hardly something to denigrate or scoff at. |

Whats funny is Crusty was joking about seeing how fast one of those homecoming keychains he had made would end up on ebay, so far I haven't seen one. |

There is a part of me that want's to put like 1,000 of the frisbees on e-Bay at $1.00 plus shipping. Naaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh. . . . but they were fun to make and toss about. There is a funny story behind them and the shirts as well . . .remind me to tell you sometime. |

Interesting side note . . . when the "lost backpack" full or frisbees was found . . . I expected it to be empty. It was still full. Go figure. Mucho thanksalotta to Ian for assisting in the recovery . . . Erik's wife raced down and recovered it from the gal at the bar the other day and I am not allowed back in the Buell house by the kids. |

Now if I really wanted one of those brochures and couldn't go to Homecoming, I'd be glad that someone was selling one. It's only distasteful for you because it is sentimental, and I understand that. It's the same reason we cringe to see a Mutant chopper. |

I understand the disgust at it, but its really no different than people selling the freebies that the dealerships gave away over the years. I've not sold any of that stuff, but sure have bought it. |

Court, we need to televise some "fireside stories" with the amount of times you've said that. |

Spidey: I was going to send one with the shirt you ordered, no worries there. To be clear . . . I have no problem with people selling them. But . . I'm not real keen on folks taking them, to the detriment of others getting them, just to sell. |

I have an opposing view, I'm afraid. I didn't have the chance to make it to HC this year due to a variety of family obligations. I wouldn't mind one of those things. It does seem wrong to sell something like that though. I always laughed at the tools that bought the free give away dealership swag. Just take a test drive! You're missing the whole point! (I know I know... "just go to the homecomming! you're missing the whole point!") |

Whats funny is Crusty was joking about seeing how fast one of those homecoming keychains he had made would end up on ebay, so far I haven't seen one. i never did get to see what crusty's present was this year. i had to split before most people even made it to homecoming this year. was only there wednesday and thursday. sometimes family stuff has to come first. i suppose my sisters wedding had to take priority lol. what did crusty make actually? i know for awhile he was having problems getting what ever it was he wanted to do, all worked out. but i did miss out on alot of cool stuff(and i dont mean just swag). i would have bought one of the relentless shirts. and the frisbees would have made the kids smile when we got home! but we did pick up some cool shirts for the kids(even though they were hd shirts) at hals, and jenn picked up a sweet buell zip up fleece. and hey, i keep scrounging and have bought some of the buell give away shirts and stuff just because i could never get to where they were when it was free. like at the motorcycle shows and such. now if i could only find one(2 would be better lmao) of those grey streetfighter shirts that ive been looking for for years thatd make my week! size medium... No_rice, it is in the envelope that you got when you signed in at the booth in front of Alpine during homecoming

I wish I could do it, but I think Blake is the only one that has that power |

All the RELENTLESS shirts left should be here today . . . I sent e-mails to everyone the other night who'd expressed interest. Blake gave me the okay to sell them here so I'll post the inventory when I get them. I think there are about a dozen left. There are still something like 10 of the photos left and I'll look and see if I have any frisbees . . . if I do, I'll toss one in with each shirt or photo. Court |

To be clear . . . I have no problem with people selling them. But . . I'm not real keen on folks taking them, to the detriment of others getting them, just to sell. My view exactly. I used to hate that people would ask to paid for freebies... but at some point, they're not freebies any more. I've bought and also been given totally free of charge some Buell swag, so I'm glad that these things come up once in a while. BTW - Erik Buell Racing had a whole box of those BOB's with the sticker in side for $5. I bought one, I'm sure they have some left. |
