So, I was planning on Camping out @ Copper Head for "April Buells Day" and was scared off by the heavy rain. When I finally made it to the campsite on Sunday, I found out that I could have stayed in the Bunk house for like $10 a night or something stupidly ridiculous. Far less then the $120 a night the hotel in Asheville ran me. I would rather support someones who is in the business of supporting me, if you catch my drift. So my question is, are there any other places for Motorcycle riders on the open road that operate this way. A warm dry place to sleep and a shower. Having a Kitchen on-site is a bonus. Maybe we can get a list of these places so that as we travel, be it Homecoming or any other rally, we can identify some "way-points" to travel the open road by. List them if you know them! |

I have a friend that enjoys long-distance riding. He's a good friend so I overlook it. He has a membership in KOA so he can just about ride to anywhere and find a KOA with a shower, a store, and get in out of the rain if necessary. |

I've stayed at the Two Wheel Inn in Robbinsville, NC (foot of the Dragon). The owner's are the nicest people, the rooms are comfortable/clean and there is a small garage for two bikes immediately next to each room. |

I've got a book packed away somewhere, a really thick book that lists, by state, all the motorcycle friendly establishments; restaurants, bars, hotels, hostels, whatever. I'll try and find it and get the name of it. IIRC it was around $20. Let me look online some and see if I can find it. |
