I just want to start this thread so everyone can add their thanks and appreciation to those who worked on this great 2010 Buell Homecoming. Rocco,Karri,Jon,Dana,Andrea are just the start of the group. There were many more so add those to this so we can thank them. The 2010 Buell Homecoming was awesome, I won't forget coming down the hill to Alpine Valley and seeing the rows of Buells there. Just a a tip of the great memories...thanks all, next year will be even better! |

add to the list....Bud C. for the track day, Steve M. for the website and maps, Bob S. for the envelopes, printed maps, museum and "group Photo" that was cut short by a pretty bad storm, Steve L. for trying to get the village of East Troy more involved, Toni M. for hauling the helium tank and making the banquet room look excellent, Andrea P., Karri S. and Jon S. for putting up with all this for 6+ months and busting their @sses at the event helping with whatever was needed. All the people that stepped up to help with getting equipment up and down the stairs for the band, Coolice for the uses of the race trailer which proved to be a God send when the storm hit. The makers of the key chains and key fobs. The companies and individuals that donated time and door prizes. Will C. from the Sign Shop for the excellent shirts and Homecoming 2010 sign. The list could go on and on. It was a group effort. We each had an important part to play. Some of our parts were more visible than others, but ALL were equally important. We had some scares and worries along the way. The night of the banquet, the P.A system went down in all the dinning rooms. The band was gracious enough to let us use theirs. Erik Buell Racing stepped up and held an "Open House" which, from all accounts, was a major highlight of the entire event. I'd like to thank all the Elves that showed up. For a lot of them, it seemed like the first time they've seen each other since the factory closed. It was very bittersweet, but made me proud that we could make it happen. I was told by one of the main Elves that this was very therapeutic for them. It made him feel good to see all the bikes riding around town. That was a highlight for me to hear him say that. I was thanked a million times and never had so many handshakes in the span of 4 days. I was also asked a million times if we were going to do it again next year. Speaking only for myself, and after thinking,"first and last time" in the past few weeks, I'd have to say, hell yes, if needed, I'd do it again next year! After seeing the effect it had on former BUELL employees, and seeing people from all over the Country, and 3 people make the trip form Australia, there is no frickin' way I could say no. I'd also like to thank all of those that attended. It was a well behaved group for the most part. There were younger kids at the event and it stayed pretty much PG-13. To those that didn't make it. Start planning for next year. Our first meeting for a break down of this years event and the preliminaries for next years is a mere month away! |

Homecoming looks impressive all the way from San Diego! Thank you for organizing it even if some us couldn't attend. It gave me a needed break to check in on the fun while I slaved to the Man all weekend. Badweb is a phenomenal place and Badwebbers are extraordinary people. |

All of you that came to make this Homecoming what it came to be. You all made this what it was. See ya next year. Like last year we'll do our very best to make it one of a kind. |

I concur, what I caught of Homecoming (Saturday night) was great - thanks again for all involved. I'm still at Alpine Valley, and I just heard the woman at the front desk leaving a message for someone on the phone, presumably management. To paraphrase, she said the Buell group were a fantastic bunch and there were no problems, though she said there was "one guy" who was a little rowdy. I'm assuming by the armed sheriff present during the event they were possibly anticipating some issues. I guess they expected bikers but got Buellers. |

This was a great weekend. I know that people put aside a lot of family and personal time to make this happen and it was really appreciated. I had a blast (no pun intended). The effort that went into this was amazing. You guys and gals ROCK!! |

this was the best Homecoming I've ever been to and I've been to several! I was there everyday except Sunday, I need one day to re-coop from all the prior four days of activities! Everyone I spoke with truly enjoyed all the activities and everything went off perfectly with one exception of Mother-Nature forced us to speed up the timing of the group picture which turned out to be a good decision to take the picture when we did because at 4 pm it was pouring down. Thanks to those who made this year's Homecoming the best ever! I enjoyed meeting all of the Buell riders there and for those who missed the event, all I can say is start planning on attend next years event. I know I'm going! |

Thank you everyone involved! This was only my second Homecoming but this time was on a Buell which made it 100x better. I was only able to hang out for the day but definitly will be back for more. I was blown away when following Prior, Mueller and Pagel into the square on our way to Erik Buell Racing. Not sure how I made it around the square and without rear ending anything. Seeing so many Buells lined up along the side and sharing the road was simply amazing. It's one thing to see the 300+ bikes in a parking lot but to see Buells and their owners "in their natural environment" is a different story. Thanks again and looking forward to spending more time next year and meeting a lot more people. |

I ran into Henry Duga at the Cruise night at Gus's on Saturday night and he said that it was by far the best event that he had been to. He urged me to thank the organizers if I had not all ready. I did thank Rocco and Dana on Friday but I will do it again. I had a great time. I really enjoyed being able to sit down at table and be welcomed by people that I have never meet before. What a great bunch of people!! Thanks again to all who put in the time and effort to make it so special!! |
