Many years on this site and 2 Buells under my belt I now own a Ducati 1200 Multi. I enjoyed the Buell overall and preach the virtues but its time for a new challenge. The Duc is a different animal and a new challenge. I will continue to visit this site as I enjoy the politics and banter. Robert. |

I was always interested in Ducs and then got smitten by the Buells while at Bob Dron's in Oakland. I was there tagging along while a friend checked out the hogs. Most of the Buell faithful in ASBN own a few brands. Me: Buell, BMW (2), Honda, Yamaha. |

The Multi looks like a nice bike. For the money, it better be. I mean, you could buy a Harley for what that thing costs. |

I want to see the new Multi but all the Ducati dealers are closing down around here. I think there is only one dealer in Chicago now. From what I've read about the bike it sounds great. Enjoy your new motorcycle and keep us posted. |

I'd love to have one, but I won't spend a dime in our local Ducati dealership. |

Cyclonedon - Ducati of Milwaukee had a grand opening two weeks ago... The shop is just behind the Silvernail Plaza in Waukesha. My friends and I watched the corporate jets landing at the Waukesha airport while waiting for our demo bikes. BTW, the streetfighter 1100 is pretty quick! |

Duc dealer in Villa Park, IL. Great dealer that knows sport bikes. They allow demo rides on many of their bikes too. Not sure if they were who you had in mind as a Chicago area dealer, but I would buy from them again. |

Been there, done that. Congrats on the new bike. Oh.... and good luck. I had an extended bad experience with Ducati but all my friends who own them love them. |

The engine noises take some getting used to, if a Buell sounded like it you would assume it was about to grenade. Still running 50% power which is pretty snappy, a few more miles and its good for 10700 rpm. New teritory for a v twin guy. |

The new Duck is a sweet bike for sure. Keep us posted on your impressions. Lots of folks on this board like that bike as well. Besides.... they don't make Buell's anymore. Yet! |
