Well, Kim and I made it : ) Today's jaunt from WI to MD was 800 miles; 14 hours 45 minutes straight through; 2-up on a fully (over)loaded '06 Uly.

More details - and Homecoming photos - to follow tomorrow once I pull pics off the camera and onto the computer, and get more data off the GPS. Preliminary quick-glance-reading shows 2200 miles in basically three days' riding - MD to OH, day 1; OH to WI via the U.P. and Mackinac Bridge, day 2 - day 1 + 2 total was 1201 miles; WI to MD, day 3; we probably did 100 or so miles running around Homecoming itself Fri/Sat.

I won't speak for Kim; I'm sure she'll chime in tomorrow as well, but for me - as always, it was great seeing old friends again, meeting even MORE new friends (seems to happen every year), having a great time, and enjoying the whole Buell family.

Can't wait to see what's next : )

As promised...pics to follow tomorrow!

No idea...I'm pretty sure I was there! : )

Could have been the *near-record* number of people, too.

Or, our relatively late arrival at 11:30pm on Thursday night....

....or I was just hiding from you

but that's probably not it....

I just got in about 10:30 or so. Awesome adventure bike ride!

It was great to see so many of you that I have come to know, and some I did not know.

This riding was done with some great folks of the BadWeB. Squids 86129 from the home base. We met up with Ratbuell and wifey Kim, who had picked up my other ole' buddy Us_uly in Cleveland for the ride in. We spent the night just short of Saginaw Mi. on our way to Mackinaw City and it's famous bridge.

Who knew there were sandy beaches on the shore of the upper peninsula of Michigan? The flat swampy looking low lands along the Interstate so reminded me of Florida.....minus the palm trees and low grass palms along their roadways. Oh, and I didn't see any 'gators.

Then who else but Mark (Wolfridgerider) would think as stupidly as me, that it would be a good idea to go to Minnesota on the way home. It was over 200 miles the wrong way! But we did it.....and it was another awesome adventure.

Who knew the Mississippi was that friggen big all the way up there! We didn't.

So many good things on this trip, so many good people......more later when I find my camera again!Australia!? how often do you get to meet great people from Australia?!

We got in last night at 2:00. We left the Alpine at 7:00 am. We rode 774 miles straight home.
This was my first long road trip I've taken on the Uly. What a great bike!!

Yep, that's mine. EMT logo is the first aid tube; "fuel" has...well...you get three guesses and the first 2 don't count LOL : ) Do a search here on badweb, they're the infamous "operators tubes" that are all the rage with the kids these days. I just need to find/make one large enough to get that large Buell toolkit out of my left saddlebag and free up some space...

Thanks for the compliment. Imagine what I could do if I *washed* the thing!
