I had a great time for a first timer, as did my son Eric. We got to meet a lot of people, put names to faces and in general had entirely too much fun. Even sitting out back at Erik Buell Racing watching Dan do some tuning for the Drummer pipe was exciting. We learned a lot, got to go on several very good rides (not nearly enough of them though) and even a little "racing" for good measure at the trackday. This will be one neither of us will forget. Looking forward to doing it all again, and my boy wants his own bike now, so thanks to all of you who egged him on about getting one.

The general rule has always kinda been to sit tight for a month. I have a feeling next year is going to be damned exciting and a bit different format. Call it a hunch . . . do you think that hunch will be discussed in detail after next February? |

I have to add my thank you to this list as well! A splendid time was had by everybody in my family. We didn't spend as much time hanging around the resort since my 11 YO daughter wanted to have fun on the vacation as well, but regardless I had fun meeting everybody (and forgetting everybody's name on my way back to Texas). Dana, Rocoo plus all the people behind the scenes filling ballons, doing leg work, and just doing a great job, THANK YOU. Not only did I get to meet Dana and Rocco I got to see how an event is SUPPOSED to be organized. This years Homecoming was a whirlwind event for me. Between dropping Mike's bike off for pickup, dropping my truck off to have the camper installed, getting Lynn from the airport and hanging with her parents for a while, getting back to Eagle WI to pickup the truck, I feel I missed much of the event. I drank too much (I do not normally drink like that) at the banquet and got to hang out with a great crowd. It was great seeing my two favorite Uly riders (Cpilot and Buellhusker) and of course hanging with Kim and Joe. I met a few people like Vern, Hardcorps, Steve (again), Oldog (Great to finally meet you Jim), Char, Treefrog, Froggy and a S2 Rider (Jeff and Julie) from Colorado. (we joked since we talked on the phone a few times we had to go out to WI to meet each other) Although the heat (humidity) was not helping, I was able to get around ok and have a great time. In my opinion the 25th was great, this was better. I am amazed, and have no idea of the figure but think HD spent a load of cash for us Buell riders at the 25th. You guys, volunteering, did a far better job. It is amazing what a few dedicated enthusiast can get done. You guys and gals are the example of how to do it right. I am not sure if I will make many Homecoming events in the future but I feel I have already attended the best one. Dana, my goal for the last four or five trips to WI has been to stop in your establishment. I have yet to make it but will one day. (look for me around July of next year) I was able to drop something off with Erik Buell. We had a nice chat and a few laughs at Court's expense (all in good fun). Lynn and I are pretty busy these days but I have some things lined up for this summer involving Buell Riders (I do not care what people ride but the Buell rider attitude is easy to spot). Prior, see you and JB2 in Aug... Bartimus, see you in a few days. Spidey, see you next year. Brad, I am waiting for a picture to be posted if you remember the one!!!! Great to see you and meet your son. Some Pictures I think these speak for themselves:

Big thanks to everyone for putting this together.... I wish I would have/could have spent more time meeting and talking to people... but the call of the road I have never ridden was to great for me to resist. 26 in Minnesota and Iowa is something to see! Vern and I followed the Mississippi to Dubuque and then jumped on the 4 lane and started heading home. Thanks again and I hope to see you next year!.... or in August at the WV Buell Rally |

This was my first Homecoming so I don't have anything to compare it to, but to everyone who had a hand in setting this up, I want to say thanks. I met a lot of great people and had an outstanding time. The time and effort put into this was not wasted. I hope to make it to a few more in the future and meet even more Buell enthusiasts. Thanks everyone. |
