My fiance's 1998 Ford Escort has gone through a radiator and an alternator, and the A/C just this week started to lag a little. One outer tie rod end. Stock suspension otherwise. Stock EVERYTHING else. Original clutch. It has 240k on the odometer, doesn't shake, pull, though it is a bit sluggish due to what I'm sure is compression loss. But it has been dead reliable and I hate to say it-but I'll miss her when she goes away. |

A long time ago.... an engineer @ Ford found a serious problem and circled it.

I was at homecoming The initial quality survey is always a mixed bag, the results always vary quite a bit from year to year. They probably did the survey during the whole Toyota unintended acceleration thing, so thats probably why they didn't make the list.

Ford did just as much groveling, just they were smart and didn't take them. Not many know but Toyota also got a bailout from Japan too. Hopefully Ford will bring over the Falcon Ute, I need a small high performance truck. |

Raised on 'em, worked at a Ford truck dealer for 23 years and have owned nothing but (except for motorcycles). Just recently had to change the 27 year old starter on my original owner 83 F250. POS Delcos just aren't made the same any more (Delco? on a Ford?- Yes! Original equipment on the 6.9 IHC diesel). |

If ford would add sliders to the Flex, it would be my next car. With starting a family and having kids, there is no way I am going to let them try to open a normal car door. Ecoboost AWD minivan pleeeease Ford. Are the Mustang guys afraid I will pass them on the outside? Mazda needs to do the same thing (adding the Mazda speed 3 motor) with the Mazda5 microvan FYI: The Town and Country AWD vans can do some impressive awd drifts. If you can't tell my wifes car is a Subaru. (I could only afford a Taurus wagon when i bought my 7 years ago) |

I've been a tech at a Ford-Lincoln-Mercury dealer for 26 years and I can't believe all the 300 thousand mile trucks we've been seeing lately. Great quality, cool and comfort inside. Great news. If HD would have attacked the market(like Ford did)with Buell instead of running like a dog with it's tail between it's legs. Love my Sport Trac almost as much as my Ulysses! |

Came out of the store today and a black raptor was parked next to my truck. That thing looks good. |

"Just recently had to change the 27 year old starter on my original owner 83 F250. Like I said, crappy Ford quality. YMMV, Nels |

"Just recently had to change the 27 year old starter on my original owner 83 F250." Beat you by a year. Just changed out the starter in dads '82 F100. He's the second owner, had it since '84. I'll be the third owner when I take possession some time this summer hopefully. It was also a Delco on a 300 straight 6. |

Love my F-250 but the darn 6.0 diesel is like an old tuber Buell, when it runs good it runs REAL good, but OMG the issues. And darn Ford managed to wait out my warranty until they "found" problems. They had run away acceleration issues long before Toyota even thought about it. |

Don't you talk about my tuber that way. She may have her quirks, but I love her all the same.

they make the perfect track vehicle. the new Transit Connect, tall enough and long enough to push a Buell XB track bike, right into the back, and close the hatches. Enough room for the privateer names on the side, and you could put a couple of fold down cots in there to rest between hot laps along with the power to run the accessory bevy fridge, what more could you want ? |

Slicker I was thinking about the TC, it is nice and low so you don't need a 40' long ramp to load up. |

Those are neat little vans. We would have bought them years ago had they been available. The computer system is something I begged for when keeping track of things was my job. Instead it was spiral notebooks filled with data but i could still look up details years later if a question arose. I wonder if they've made the back door locks better? That was an expensive lesson. |

Doh! Just realized today the fog lights on my GT have gone belly-up... no juice coming in on the positive wire, and nothing wrong with the fuse or relay. Damn, I hate going to the shop...... ~SM |
