talked to kat for a minute and there around youngstown and will probably stop pretty soon for the night before heading over to cleveland for the hall of fame. seems like their enjoying the slower pace right now.
Graham took a couple of XB9er's pipe and a few of XB9er's airbrush paint job on the XB. He also took one of my 1125r (in all it's "stockness" other than swapped wheels and pass peg mounts)
Vamp then took one of Lemon and I outside under my new shop sign.
Hi all! We're back...did ya miss us? Did ya? huh? huh? We rolled into Wolf's tonight, scanning the road for house numbers and spotting a big Buell welcome sign in the drive. We have had a good three days on the road, just taking our time and roaming wherever our desires (and our gps) led us. We have a few new travel buddies on this leg-Lewis the blue travel dog and gumby...
So, in short, the trip was New York to Ohio. First stop was Liberty Buell...
and coming from NY directly...Rahway felt like a ghost-town!
We headed towrds Lancaster from there for a little outlet shopping, and then tried your infamous Five guys burgers along the way...
and then drove on to Harrisburg before we called it a night. Day 2 of the solo flying adventure was a first for our trip...Rain! The weather has been perfect since we arrived, so it cooled a little and rained...but just for a day It made for some beautiful foggy morning shots though as we gained a little altitude..
Through State College and on down to Bellwood, we met Toona and got the tour of his work/play area...
and met Bob...
who in turn gave me a new winter coat! Thanks Dan, for stopping to have a chat and show us how things work around the shop. Hope you checked your mailbox for the little gift we left for you (we forgot until we had driven down the road!) Such beautiful country around the area, and the rainy weather made everything look just so much greener and vivid. this little fella thought so too...
We don't see any of the wildlife you get here in Oz, so while Chili was looking for directions...I was just stoked that we saw a few squirrels and a chipmunk! Hahaha We decided we would stop at any Buell dealers we saw along the way, which included this one...
This sunset took us into Niles, where we stayed the second night (just past Youngstown)...
This concludes day two of the trip. There were more little sights and things along the way, but now it's time to get some shut eye, so we'll continue tomar and say goodnight for now.
Hey Vamp and Chili when you make it near Chicago make sure you try a Lou Malnatis Deep dish Pizza w/ the Butter Crust. I doubt you will be disappointed.
WOW!!! I can hardly believe I get to meet you two in just six days... it is going to be 5:30 PM on Wednesday the 16th when I get off of work and around 6:30 PM when I get home... if the weather is right I might go to the campground Wed night, if not Thur morning.
Thursday I will be at registration from 11:30 AM to around 6-sh and hope to see you both then. I like Gumby. Here is my travel partner from my first Homecoming in 2003...
And just remember... when in Milwaukee "Sausages are for eating not for beating"!!!
Sorry I missed the two of you at toona's shop. I was away at work. The picture you took of the train going over a bridge. That is the famous Rockville Bridge. It has quite a history....and yes I go over that bridge when I take a train to harrisburg.
Where was I...Oh yes...we woke up feeling pretty refreshed after a big feed from the Roadhouse restaurant at Niles...
and a good nights sleep. We took a nice drive through some beautiful fresh country to a tiny place called Kinsmen to visit a 'market square' which turned out to be a massive junkshop..
It was a really odd feeling being down in the musty basement of this old place, so we got out of there before someone tried to make a 'person suit' from our hides! it puts the lotion on it's skin then puts it in the basket B-line executed from here to Cleveland for a lookie through the Rock and Roll Hall of fame. As we rolled into Cleveland we saw this old building that was begging for some photos...
Unfortunately we weren't allowed to take any pics inside the Hall of Fame. A lot of the stuff is from private collections and protected, but we managed to sneak in a few lobby and sneaky sneaky shots...
The first image is the Pink Floyd 'The Wall' display from their tour, the second shows you that we got there just in the time to see THE guitar the boss played, and this is the building itself...
There was another tribute sculpture just outside...
From there, it was on to Columbus for the night. Another very welcoming reception from Mark and Suzanne, some more great Badweb people (we haven't struck any bad ones yet . There were a few other people there to greet us too ... Gator
and Bruiser
This morning the rental car went back and we did a little shopping for goodies to take home. The afternoon headed us over to the Thurman cafe for dinner. I say afternoon, as this is the kind of place with food so good you make a line and wait for a table.
Surprisingly, some of us had room after this, so it was off for the biggest 'small' ice-cream sundae I have ever attempted to eat. Back at the house, we set fire to stuff and sat around it. A few more people joined the group and we wiled the night to a close chatting as the fire crackled away and the lightning bugs lit up the trees around us.
Look closely at the flames???!! Now it's time to turn in again. Meeting up with Nevrenuf tomar for a day of festivities in Columbus. Thanks to Gary and Ange for making the trip in to meet with us and Dennis, Klaudia and Mike and Mike for the great company.
well we are home and getting ready for bed! it was great meeting you guy's! once again thank you for the picture!!! i was in such awe of it that it gave me goose bumps. i think it is probably the most heart felt gift that i have ever received.
this is the picture that Kate "Vampress" drew of me.
sorry this pic was taken with my iPhone so it doesn't do it justice.

They are going to WPAFB on Monday or Tuesday with Gary and then start migrating to East Troy on Wednesday
If the weather turns around, we a going to Columbus Motor Speedway tonight for figure 8 racing.... CRAZY STUFF!! then LATE this evening my brother-in-law is playing at a local bar and we may go see him.
Sunday is looking like a catch their breath day.... and then on Monday re-light both ends or the candle!
Today seemed to go by really fast. Neil(Nevrenuf) picked us up this morning and we had all these plans in mind.
We were going to get ink done, go to the AMA Hall, have lunch, do some shopping for gear. We went here...
The End.
lol, that's not quite true. We did have the chance to go and have a lovely lunch with Neils family. Thanks to Neil for making the long trip up just to visit with us. It was great to finally meet and nice to spend the day together too.
