Isn't Falls Church the town where a Statue of Stalin was erected?

just my humble opinion, but if the perps showed up to steal some bikes, what makes you think that the car they showed up in isn't hot too? Don't get me wrong, I want to see justice, and bikes returned to their rightful owners, with no major damage, but I am with the idea of checking out the neighbor's windows for security cameras, and maybe nearby convenience stores too...

The only people that get just-us when the douche gets caught is the pettifogging lawyers.
Even if they get caught, you will not be restored unless you have insurance and then only up to a point.

I say vigilanty, that way the newspapers will print something worth reading.

No updates I"ve heard of.

@Ratbuell - I've seen many areas gone downhill. Gaithersburg (where I was born) was first place I was mugged, my sister accosted and is in my opinion the worst city in the world LOL My beloved Fredneck s going downhill from what I hear, and Poolesville has its own problems with heroin and white trash douchebags I've dealt with. Screw it, I'm moving to Dundalk anyways.

I don't know if the car was hot, but there are alotta people watching this and being vigilant.

Not a lincoln. The back window drops too fast and there's a "ledge" above the back passenger window.

Read through the whole thing... Is it legal to own stun guns in that area? If it is it would make a great addition to the alarm system, or even in place of the alarm system.

All you need as a very well hidden safety to keep from zapping you when you ride. Unfortunately they are not legal here or I could prototype something for you. Thinking something like seat or grips or all three, just not sure how deadly it would be to run the current up one arm and down the other, so maybe in the seat would be better. A zap to the scrotum should make them think more than twice about riding it away.

An old (rumored) trick was to wire up a control and extra spark plug coil to the door handles on your car. Alarm trips and this thing starts pulsing to energize the coil, the handles start zapping when they try to open the door. Not sure if it ever really worked, but lots of rumors out there about it.

Virginia you can get concealed carry Greg... Maryland you can't (or its very, very hard). We have better castle/defense laws in MD though...

still no updates

If it is legal for stun guns, I would definitely wire one up under the seat. May not survive in court, but hopefully the judge chuckles enough to give a very light punishment.

It would certainly be better than blowing the guy's head off.

I'm not buying the LS idea....

Lincoln LS

The back window in the thieves car drops FAST. When I was a kid I used headlights and taillights for car spotting. It's a shame the security camera doesn't have one that angle.

Other LS views available upon request. : )

I see a sub compact and maybe even a hatchback. Look at the rear door handle placement relative to the rear wheel well and the vertical of the rear window.

easy_rider, your pic only reinforces the fact that the car is a lincoln ls - everything - including rear window profile - matches up:
-line between c-pillar & fender
-door handles
-mirror
-"ledge" between door handles and windows
-door profile cut into roof paralleling window profile, w/style/location of window trim. this cue is really important - no other car out there w/the other cues that has this door/window/roof/trim profile.

plus, i also saw the pics on c/l - the cues match more strongly, including hood, and wheels, per this shot:

and more shots:

ls-4

rear fender lip also matches up well w/the last pic i posted, above...

I appreciate the detective work guys. Unfortunetly I've learned the police haven't even contacted local guy until a week after it occured. Their bikes are in a million pieces by now. Some peeps wanna setup our own DIY Bait Bikes. If the police aren't gonna take care of this, we might have to do it on our own...

I have a freind who made some bad choices involving more than one car that wasn't his. Even though he's not a violent person, he packed a gun for his onwn protection. Be safe.Just note... There are still some people who draw a hard line, but it isn't mentioned outside the people who drew the line. Goodluck and don't end up in jail/prison/dead.
