I read that article, and I like the way that man thinks. Even if I never see one of his bikes, he's got my respect. |

Read the whole article. Those were previous builds, and he's currently working on his own mill. ~SM |

I rode an R-1 the other day. Torque, top end are insane. Doesn't handle like my 1125 though, but a powerplant like that in Erik Buell Racing product would be mindblowing. LJM |

"Triumph or Yamaha engine not American Sportbike." Just why is that? The 1125 has an Austrian engine, is it not an American Sportbike? |

Well he did say he's working on his own engine. Wouldn't it be something if someday there were 2 American sportbikes to choose from? I know we'd all pick Buell but it would be cool |

But none of the innovations we have so become accustomed to... ZTL Fuel in Frame Oil in swing arm Mass centralization Trillogy of Tech(BTW I changed the plastic coolent couplings on a GM 3800, the alternator support bracket also supports the belt tensioner annnd is a coolent passage!) So tell me, what is so appealing about 7 years ago? It will take another quantum leap in technology before you can convince me that there is a better designed motorcycle than a Buell. Someday, there will be, but right now it is in development, somewhere, and it is going to take some time before it comes out. KMA H-D(spit) |

By the way, that US Highland Street Tracker is what H-D(spit) should have developed instead of the XR1200X, because it's not going to sell either...LOL Really that Street Tracker is what H-D(spit) should have built, it would have been a race ready bike, and would have warmed the customer base up to the future and gotten them accustomed to change. |

Yup, was posted on my local forum. I took offense to ""The Stratus is the possible answer for the USA's quest for a competetive reliable race machine." Erik's been busting his ass for 25 years answering that "quest" and we already have a reliable Americen racebike. Whether through arrogance or ignorance that he made that statement, Buell will spank whatever this dbag makes. Buell forever mofo! In order to be truly "American", a bike has to be designed ONLY by Americans and assembled with components built ONLY by Americans out of raw materials carved out of the mountain ONLY by Americans and smelted in a plant ONLY by Americans. Not very realistic, but that's the standard these days. |

US Highland = no sportbikes, Roehr = $40,000 sportbike, Still not much to choose from without Buell around. |

If I were Mr. Roehr, I'd be asking Mr. Fischer how they think they can get away with saying they're the ONLY US made sportbike... |

For that fact could anyone claim their motorcycle was "just theirs"? |

I do know that Fischer has tried to purchase as many American made parts as is possible. I don't think anyone on this board would buy a $40k bike. I wish LaMerrill success. |

Does anyone know how Fisher is doing? Living on the far edge of the earth we never hear anything up here. |
