I have a weight bench, curl bar, extra weights, and a pull-up bar in my big closet. I work out in the mornings (when I wake up), and I've been taking Diablos ECA fire caps once a day, eating protein-High foods, and I take various protein supplements. I started out using Muscle Milk shakes, then found EAS Myoplex shakes. Now I use EAS soy protein powder in water or milk. I've been working out consistently for about 2 months now, which is how long I've been taking the Diablos, and I've lost 12 lbs off my average daily weight (190-178) and increased muscle mass. I feel and look better than ever, and I'm really excited. Any one else want to brag on themselves a little bit?

Good point. I didn't notice until I read the label after you posted; there is a LOT of metals in large % in those things. I'm on the powder now, and I eat a lot of dairy and lean, low sodium ham.

I've started working out, been a couple months. No suppliments (I have a multivitamin, but that's it).

I generally work out later in the day. I've been watching my diet much more closely - I try to keep the bulk of my carbs to the morning, lean protien later in the day and I always try to eat protien right after a workout.

I do a mix of cardio and weights. Don't skimp yourself on the carbs and calories so much... the "fat burn" heart rate range for cardio is a joke... the ratio of fat burned to carbs is higher, but you'll still burn more total fat at the "cardio" heart rate, so you need the boosted carbs to be able to do it and not pass out. When I'm on the bike I'm in the 155-165bpm range (know the safe 80-85% heart rate for your age - I'm 26 years old, so yours is likely lower). Then I stretch, do some floor/core exercizes and then a weight routine. Last week was tough to get to the gym, but typically I go 3-4 times a week.

I've also been doing it about 2 months. I've lost around 10 lbs as well (started in the low 180s, now in the low 170s) though weight loss is not my goal - I want just be fitter, feel better and bulk up a little in the process - I don't care what I weigh as long as I feel and look good. My gut looks smaller but I have more to go before there's much definition. Chest looks the same but feels better, arms and shoulders are looking great and only getting better. I've had back problems for years and for the most part they're also doing much better.

Body fat is down, energy is up, and it already takes considerably more effort to elevate my heart rate now than it did when I started, so the cardio system is in better shape for it as well.

Oh, and drink lots of water throughout the day, not just when working out - in addition to needing to stay hydrated, it also lets your body burn more fat.

I do upper body weights a couple times a week, legs once a week, with a cardio day between my weight days. No supplements, just a multi-vitamin. Eat a lot of yogurt, and in general try to keep up on my proteins. I've added quite a bit of muscle mass over the last year, but my damn chubby body doesn't show definition very well. I sure envy the thin guys who's every muscle and vein shows through their skin.

Last summer my 2 year old daughter was wearing me out. I am 6'3" and weighed 240+ lbs. I made a promise in August of 2009 to myself to work out for at least 1 year. In October I ran a 5 mile race with a time of 49:37. I then set a goal of making it to the 50% range of my age group which would mean I would have to improve my time to 42:30. (8:30 miles)

Since then I have done my best to work out 3 to 4 times a week. Running, spinning, and weightlifting. I am now 212 lbs and working towards 205. I lost about 2 inches on my waist, dropped a shirt size, and have tons more energy to play with my now 3 year old.

Over the winter I did take GNC Amplified Wheybolic Extreme 60 (protien) and cycled GNC Amplified Creatine 189. Neither of these directly help with weightloss, however they have assited me in building up the muscle (and improved recovery time)to make my workouts more effective. Also I am much stronger and more defined, probably the best shape I have been in since college. I have used Creatine and Protien in the past with great results. However, they will do NO good without dedicated workouts and healthy eating. For Example, I cut 5 lbs just by removing regular soda from my diet and switching to water or tea.

I feel better overal and have hit some cool milestones on the way. 2 weeks ago I got up on a slalom ski straight out of the water for the first time in my life. This was a day after I did a 2.5 mile race and took second place for my age group. Additionally, I went on a 325 mile ride on my M2 in May and when I got off the bike I felt much better then I have in previous years. Although there are many workouts that I have not wanted to complete, it has been a life changing decision for me and I plan to stick with it. The two hardest things have been dedicating the time, and keeping myself prepared to work out. Sleeping and eating good are essential to success.

Yeah, weight loss isn't necessarily what I cared about as much as losing my love handles and being more defined. I'll be 25 in 3 months, so my heart rate should be pretty close to yours. I expect my weight to go back up once I start taking creatine regularly, so I want to get down to 170-175 before I start on it. The protein supplements have greatly enhanced my recovery time as well. My goal is to have a true 31" waist and 18" or bigger arms, and a well defined midsection. Right now I'm a 32-33" waist depending on brand, 16" arms (though my forearms oddly enough are also 16", like Popeye), and fair definition in my abs.

i think your goals are the place to start in determining your supplements. if you are looking for strength/muscle, you can't go wrong with creatine (taken per the directions, too much for too long can damage kidneys) and protein, although eating properly (including quantity) can get you there. lotta info on the iternet. if you find yourself buying alot, look into an online store to purchase from. save tons of money over GNC.

Yeah, so far all the protein stuff was bought at WalMart, and the Diablos originally from a local contact, though the next bottle will be bought online at half the price. I'll probably order the next batch of protein and creatine online as well. I buy bottled water by the cases cuz Amarillo water tastes nasty.

I have supplementdirect.com saved as my next source to get the pills, though I'll probably only use one more bottle, and most likely I'll get the rest of the supplements there as well. Here's a link to read about the Diablos.

I worked out everday at lunch at got down to my now goal of 180! I was max benching 300lbs curling with 45lb barbells and had more energy than I knew what to do with! Then I got transfered to a new Plant and put on 3rd shift and it all went to downhill! But I'm back at it and will get there again! I also just bought my wife and I new Mountain bikes to ride when were not at the Gym!

about mid last year, i did an assesment on myself...i thought about the foods i ate...burgers, pizza chips, frozen products...and i thought how these foods make you feel good before and as you eat them...after you eat them, and often through the next day you feel like sht...so one day i said im not going to eat fried foods anymore, my diet would consist of salads, low sodium soup, and cereal with skim milk...now a year later im still on this lifestyle change. you really dont salvate thinking about eating a salad, however after you eat it you really feel good...and this good feeling carries you all day...and the nice thing about salads ( mixed greens/ onions/ peppers carrots/ grilled chicken), you can eat alot, and still feel great with out that stuffed feeling. it helps with your digestion/ skin tone and to be delicate..defication. fast forward to jan 1st., i decided to work out a min of 5 days a week, and hour or so a day/ light high rep weights 3 days, and 2-3 days of cardio...it use to be a struggle to go to the gym ( 90 feet from my house)..but i was always glad i did it( work out after morning coffee/ before work)..now 5 months later, i really want to go the the gym. i went from 240 to 188 last week, although weight loss isnt a goal, overall wellness is. so thats my story, and im sticking with it

We have a universal machine, and a 300lb Olympic weight set and bench.

No supplements, just clean eating.

I workout by watching Mrs.Glitch work out.
As it stands now she can surely kick my ass.
I don't have the patients or attention span to work out on machines.
I am however pretty active for my age.

Mrs.G was thinking about the supplement thing until Odie posted up.
Thanks Odie!

Nice! That's really why I started taking the Diablos and working out at the same time. The effect is pretty drastic at first but they give you a ton of energy. I used to work out regularly, but fastforward 4 years, and between 3 yrs 60-80 hr workweeks, 1 yr waiting tables I just didn't have the energy or drive to workout. I knew how good I felt when I did it regularly, but just couldn't bring myself to eat what I should to have the energy. Once I started the pills, I changed my diet because I felt like absolute s#%^ if I ate wrong. Then after a couple weeks, I felt substantially better and stronger than before. Now it's pretty much a natural thing to go to be earlier (I used to go to bed about 4 AM, now usually Midnight-1 AM), get up earlier and workout, shower, dress, etc. I feel better than even when I was in high school. Of course I didn't have a sexy bike then lol.

I have used Gaspari Nutrition "Superpump 250" and "SizeOn" with good results in the not so distant past. For a real good energy boost before the gym, I have taken "N O - Explode" but be careful and start out slow with it.

One of my favorite high-protein foods, somewhat off-topic, is cottage cheese. I also like Hebrew National beef franks. The hardest part for me with food is trying to keep the sodium levels low. Everything on the shelf these days is loaded with salt- more than anyone should be eating on a daily basis.

Reducati, way to go. Since starting the juiceplus both myself and my hubby have gone almost vegitarian. We buy organic fruits and vegi's, wild fish (not farm raised), real yogurt, etc. I'll be getting rid of all of all our canned vegi's and giving them away.

Working in the medical field it's amazing how many people are getting cancer. And I truly believe it's due to all the chemicals we American's are putting in our bodies.

And not enough exercise

I was looking at some vegan food thinking that stuff should be healthy.
I've never seen so much sodium!

I lift heavy 3 times a week and try to throw some cardio in on the off days. I don't use any supplements but whey protein sometimes.

If I were going to use supplements, I would use creatine monohydrate and some kind of protein powder like ON whey or Nitrean. Everything else is a waste of money.

ive just started back 6 months ago, I worked out for years and spent a fortune on supplements. After lots of research and talking to some of my friends, some are bodybuilders, the best advice I can give you is eat right, lots of protien, good carbs such as green beans, sweet potatos ect. Muscle Milk seems to be the easiest to drink for me. As far as supplements I have never found anything worth the money since prohormones, which they pulled from the shelf about 8 years ago. Since you are just starting out your body will respond very well to any stimulation it gets for the first six months. The bottom line is save your money, dont buy in to gimmics and always remember if its legal, it probably doesnt work. Hard work and diet is the only thing that will get you to where you want to be.

I use ABB Body 50 protein shakes and NO Explode mostly. Eat lots of good protein OFTEN. 5-6 small meals are way better for you then 3 each day. Protein shake or bar counts as a meal in that also. Be careful I am currently out of action due to tearing my bicep tendon off the bone benching. Turns out my labrum was torn also so in a damn sling for 6-8 more weeks. Going to start doing cardio but I didn't really do it before was more into powerlifting than trying to look thinner. Set goals. Stretch and warm up. Good luck. You can make gains pretty quick if you stick to it. 3yrs ago I could barely bench 135lbs(bar and a plate/side)and when I tore my arm up I was doing 315lbs often and my max was 365lbs.
