Juiceplus is 17 fruits/vegi's in a capsule. All organic food, it's juiced then made into a powder.

www.jules4lifejuiceplus.com

This is not a weight loss product but a whole food in a capsule. It's meant to help people get healthier overall. It's proven thru independent studies that it absorbs into the body, reduces oxidative stress, supports healthy immune system, protects DNA and positively helps cardiovascular wellness. It's an incredible product, not junk. So much of the OTC products are so bad for us but it's an $80 billion business.
Be careful with the stuff out there.

If you do endurance type activities(such as cycling) Endurox R4 is good post ride, or during on long (50 miles or more)rides.
It has a combination of protein and carbs along with electrolytes to replenish muscle glycogen. It works well for helping to keep the cramps away, and helping muscles to recover if you are doing hard efforts on back to back days.

Piotr...fantastic transformation, you have certainly inspired me.

I think I am gonna steal your personal quote as well: In order to change, your desire to change must be greater than your desire to stay the same.

Been lifting heavy for more than 30 years, have been competing at the National level or above for 25. I train 5 days a week, total of 8 to 10 hrs a week. Got to just make it part of your routine. I do a little cardio, but not so much. I take a multivitamin, glucosamine/chondroitin, and protein shakes periodically. Taking Isagenics protein now. It doesn't leave that artificial sweetener aftertaste either, digests easier, no bloating. When training heavy, Con-cret creatine. Microdoses, doesn't give me the GI upset and works without the water gain. I get it from here: www.plgearonline.com. Good luck! The only limits you will encounter are those you impose on yourself. I'm happy with the shape I'm in for my age.

I keep fit(ish) by going to work & eating balanced meals, I don't drink a lot, smoke too much, & don't have huge amounts of stamina.

But at 50 nobody expects me to behave like a young'un so it's all good.

I suppose I really should do something to improve my cardio-vascular system & my wind, but I haven't yet worked out if time & effort expended will match the extension of lifespan, or the misery of giving up the rolies.

Ah the ol' work from home product.
Not saying it's not good stuff, I have no idea really.
I just remember someone that got caught up in all that.
Meetings, seminars, the whole shebang.
Reminds me of Amway, Tupperware, stuff like that there.
I noticed the URL with your name in it, do you sell a lot of it?

I just cant seem to lose the middle. I ride my bike about 20 miles every day.
Maybe I need to go faster? Ill try twisting my wrist more!

I just started on the "chuck norris machine". I like it, but I hurt my shoulder and had to lay off. I am trying to play more soccer though. Attention span too low for too much "working out". I have to not realize Im exercising.

ALL Supplements are a waste of your money. All of them. Unless you are getting ready for a competition, and then the type of supplements you need are REAL expensive. You can get all you need by changing / correcting you eating habits. Your diet will contribute at least 75% to your results. Learn to read food labels, and learn what they are telling you. Learn what you need to grow, not using the USDA guidelines. Been doing this for 28 years. Trust me.

Ah the ol' work from home product.

I WISH. I work 40hrs a week as a nurse in a large HMO. I would love to get out of it. I was in Amway once and that to me is a joke. Since starting this my hubby has lost about 13# in the past 2 month. Mainly by eating a whole lot better. My Dad, who told me this was a scam, started taking it and he went to the doc a few weeks ago and his cholesterol med and one blood pressure med were decreased by half. His blood sugars and going down (he's on 2 oral meds and insulin). This product is also approved by the NSF for professional athletes. I am selling a fair amount but I just started less than 3 months ago. It's NOT a get rich quick program.

If you don't know much about it how can make any comments on it. Do some research, then comment. I had a kid call the office one day and he just stated a workout program, started a protein diet and some OTC product called Jack3d. He started peeing a rust colored urine. He had NO idea what was in the stuff he was taking. My clinical pharmacist looked it up and OMG. We call this STUPID.

Good luck with all the stuff that's out there. We Americans are killing ourselves with all the crap we are putting in our bodies. Sorry for the rank, but, again, as a nurse I'm seeing people dying at much younger ages and it's scary.

Also, one of the nurses I work with was saying that one way to get rid of the fat in our body and help the middle is to stop eating sugar, of any kind, ie high fructose corn syrup. It can take up to a year to get rid of it, tho.

I work out - take NO supplements. I'm not trying to bulk up but build endurance and fast twitch strength.

I was given some guidelines after my major get-off in a race when I was doing about 6 months of orthopedic rehab. The physical therapist facility had a complete gym that they would also rent out machine time WITH professional advice (unlike my 24HR Fitness membership)

+1 Killroy. My father-in-law was a body builder in the 80's. He stopped until recently where he started training 6 months out from a competition that was last weekend. He watched his carbs, drank protein shakes for breakfast, worked out hard and did cardio. After a 25ish year break, he placed 3rd out of 10.

If you don't know much about it how can make any comments on it.
Hey now, it wasn't a dig at you, or the product.
I may not know about the product itself, I do however know someone that got all caught up in it.
I just remember someone that got caught up in all that.
Didn't even say it was a get rich scheme.
It is however marketed as a "work at home" venture.
Juice Plus+ is a branded line of dietary supplements containing concentrated fruit and vegetable extracts as well as other plant based dietary supplements. Introduced in 1993[1] by its manufacturer, Natural Alternatives International of San Marcos, CA; the supplements are distributed by National Safety Associates (NSA; Collierville, TN) via direct and multi-level marketing.
...
Juice Plus products are marketed by individual distributors who receive sales commissions ranging from 6% (for enrolling five customers in 30 days) to 14% (for enrolling twenty customers in 30 days).[18] Detailed sales figures for Juice Plus are not publicly available but NSA representatives claimed that Juice Plus achieved monthly sales of $6 million USD in 1993[19] and that it was the company’s most successful new product.[20]

Thanks for the kind words guys!

I would have to agree with the majority here. There is no magic pill or potion that you can take to watch the pounds disappear. Hard work and dedication to making a change is the only thing that works. A diet of lean protein, good carbs (brown rice, real oatmeal, sweet potato, etc) and healthy fats such as olive oil and flaxseed oil is the way to go. It worked for me. I use the the Nitrean protein powder in between meals and that is the only supplement I use. It has tons of protein with only 3 grams of carbs per serving. This stuff tastes awesome and it mixes better than any protein supplement I've ever tried. I challenge you to find anything better.

Got any questions? PM me and I will be happy to help you out.

Remember your body can only absorb something like 3-5 grams of protein an hour. If you drink a protein shake with 30-60 grams of protein, you can go in the bathroom in about 12 hours and watch most of your hard earned $$ float happily away. Just eat right and save your extra cash for fixing the Buell.

Glitch, I didn't mean for that to sound negative so I apologize if it came out that way. I'm just so impressed with this product. I've never been one to take any kind of supplements so, for me to take this is amazing. I hate taking any kind of pills, even an aspirin for a headache. I have to say that since starting this I have become incredible aware of what foods I put in my body. If we humans ate the proper amounts of fruits and vegi's we'd be a whole lot heathier

This country is like 4th in the world in technology but we are around 48th in the world in the health of our people. We are building hospitals just for children with cancer. How sad. And I do believe it's due to the pocessed and junk foods we are eating

Again I do apologize and ask for your forgiveness

No sweat Julie.
The typed word can be difficult at times.
No need to apologize, we're adults, and instead of getting all out of joint, we decided to make sure the other understood what the other was saying.
And I do believe it's due to the pocessed and junk foods we are eating
High Fructose Corn Syrup
They say it's ok in moderation, and I'm sure it is, but it's in everything.
Sodium
Preservatives
The list goes on and on, but I can't pronounce nor spell half the stuff that goes into processed foods.
Eating clean is the way to go.
It's amazing to me (if weight loss is the goal) how much weight one can lose just by eating clean, and going for a walk daily.
I don't work out, but I'm way more active than most my age.
I can keep up with a lot of people younger than I am.
Ann does work out.
At first it was to get down from 180+ pounds.
Now she's about 130ish and she works out because it makes her feel better.
I work out by playing, riding, and working.

Amen to all of that. Dan and I have gone all organic, no meat, wild caught fish, if we eat chicken it has to be range fed and no hormones etc. Just eating right Dan's lost 13#. For fun you ought to look up in google side effects of sugar and go down about 12 or so. There's a posting with 146 side effects of sugar.

Raw sugar is ok by me, at the very least it's not the evil processed white sugar.
Sorry, I can't/won't give up on red meat, we do only buy organic though.
Damn that stuff is expensive!
Why is it that if you use less (no hormones, no antibiotics, no steroids) it costs more?
Same with the organic veggies.

How many Americans truly have a good diet. Look at all the illness we have in this country. If we all ate better there would a whole lot less illness.

+1 on Julie's comment. How many people do "regular maintence on their cars? Changing tires on a van every 30,000 miles is a waste of money unless you don't keep them properly inflated and rotated, but how many Americans actually do that? We have become a lazy society that only oils the squeaky wheel, and that's why America as a whole has so many problems. If you won't check your diet, find someone who will and pay them to do so, just like your car, but make sure you trust them. Most people don't work on their own car; they pay someone else to do it for them. Only difference is we can't trade in our bodies every 3 years, so we have to maintain them at some level.

I believe it is around 20%-30%

This most definitely is a problem with the majority of people. I was just saying if you have a good diet, you dont need it}

That is not true. Probably the best site I can recommend for you to read the facts would be Alan Aragon. Google him and read his article. I know he has one that addresses this misinformation.

Protein recommendation for a bodybuilder is in the 1 to 1.5 grams per pound of body weight which is much higher that 3 to 5 grams per hour.

Health Care is somewhat of an oxymoron (sp). People don't go to doctors to get healthy, they go because they are sick. I had a patient call the other day. He had been on an antibiotic for 2 days and wasn't better yet. People today want something to make them better, healthier, stronger NOW.

What concerns me about all the OTC supplements and vitamins that are out there is that there are so many chemicals in them. How much of the stuff is truly absorbed by the body and how does it interact with all the other crap that people are taking. Also, is there primary research that has been done on these products showing exactly what they do. Most likely, not.

What I truly believe about juiceplus is, that it's all natural and organic, every nutrient in it gets absorbed and is utilized by the body in a very positive way. It's a whole food, not a supplement.

Diver -

The people reading this most likely are not "competitive bodybuilders. The 1 - 2 grams of protein per pound of body weight thumbrule is to saturate the system with protein so that it is always available to the system for cell repair and rebuilding. That does not change the fact that you can still only absorb so much of it. Not to mention the stress it puts on your kidneys after extended periods.
