Upon first glance I thought it might be a cut away to show the wheel off but ends up it's a broken wheel from a Miller Park race. Too rich for my blood but would be a cool wall art/conversation piece. | ||

I saw it at $175 when this originally was posted, maybe 3 hours into the auction. Not sure what Erik Buell Racing started the auction at. Edited to note that according to bid history, it started at $99.95. (Message edited by Toona on June 09, 2010) | ||

I don't see it as buying an broken wheel. I see it as supporting Erik Buell Racing. If you've got some money you can send to support Erik Buell Racing, that's great. If you can get a very cool, one-of-a-kind collectible, that's just icing on the cake. And if you can't afford $700 but you want to support Erik Buell Racing, you can also buy the CD http://www.ratpakrecordsamerica.com/erikbuell.cfm and if you've already bought the CD, you can buy some more for friends . . . or buy some CD's from other Rat Pak artists. And while you're at it, drop Rat Pak a note to tell them how much you appreciate their support. Also, you can book a track day with Sportbike Track Time http://www.sportbiketracktime.biz/ and let them know you're doing it because of their support of Erik Buell Racing. And if you don't have the time or money for that now (and it's a little bit of money to pay for one of the best things you can do to improve your performance ) you can still send them a note thanking them for their support. And if you happen to know anybody in management or marketing with a company who might be interested in sponsoring a race team, let them know about this really cool opportunity. |
