i was hitting up graduation parties today on the bike, and around 6 i was at one of my friend (with the bike) and it was time for me to move onto the next party, yet the clouds were getting dark, so i ran home and swapped the bike for the cage. at the next party the clouds were getting darker and it really started to rain. Long story short i ended up seeing a tornado touch down in a corn field down the street from the party! we all ran to the tiny basement, and just waited it out. no damage to the house, just lots of branches down, and lawn furniture was scattered. but it was pretty cool to see the tornado before we went inside! | ||

Tornado's are cool from a distance. No doubt about that, but I grew up in Tornado alley, they're not so cool when the house gets leveled! | ||

last summer the next closest town to mine (elmwood illinois) had a really bad storm go through it, and it tore apart a lot of the town, well tonight a tornado went right down main street, and leveled many buildings, pray for those in that town please! | ||

Had one rip through 20 power poles last week down here in Lakeland. Crazy stuff.... | ||

As a child I was traumatized by the Wizard of Oz tornado,still the only thing that scares me real bad. However more folks killed by lightning each year than tornados. Iman I will do as suggested. | ||

Last year we saw a big water spout touch down in the river near our building at work. It was quite spectacular. I think I have a picture of it somewhere. | ||

 Here's mine Glitch... Off in the distance where the traffic lights are, hang a left and my office is right there. We had a switcher company in doing a demo/training session with us when the power went out. | ||
