Hard hard time finding cheap memory foam earbud tips, like the ones that come on the JVC Marshmallows. The kind you roll between your fingers to heat up, insert into ear and as they cool they expand, blocking out ear-killing exhaust noise and clearing up your tunes! Found this tutorial to make your own earbud tips from memory foam earplugs (which are cheap online and walmart!) http://www.instructables.com/id/Poor...from-Ear-Pl ug/ step 1Materials 1. Earplugs $2.98 walmart 10-pair 2. Soldering Iron in skinning tip or Lighter, Finishing nail, and pliers 3. Scissors *Tip - Look for earplugs with a higher Noise Rating. The Flents Quiet time ear plugs are NR33, which will have a similar effect as noise cancelling headphones, but cheap! step 2Cut Earplug Cut off the tip of the earplugs using scissors. You want to aim for the same length as the plastic that needs to be covers on the ear buds. step 3Burn Hold in Earplugs ***Carefully*** use something hot, sharp, and pointy to burn a hole through the center of the earplug. step 4Put on Earbuds Let the burnt holes cool. Then force them on to your ear buds the tighter the better. I did not have to use any glue and the are firmly in-place. Go ahead and make a few extra while your at it, your ears are nasty goo traps so replace often or buy some freaking q tips. In comments section, appears you can even superglue em to your earbuds so they don't seperate. |

are those Shure in-ears in your pic? I have a set and they are amazing, but if I yawn or chew while wearing them I have to re-set them. Gonna have to try your trick, Thanks |

Did mine last night, they work GREAT. As good as the "stock" memory foamers that came with my Marshmallows. Even made a pair for my new Sony earbuds. Anyone else made a set? Used a finishing nail for the hole. |
