Chili:i am kinda bummed i didn't get to plug the PRS in. but the action and playability are damn good! i can see why that would quickly become your new fav guitar. after a long day of shopping we were all tired and chili had not found his bass yet. we thought it wasn't looking good for him to find one. in a last ditch effort i suggested we stop at one more small music store. The Drinking Gourd in dayton ohio is where we went. I new they carried the Warwick bass line which Chili is not really in to. it is a styling issue for him. so our hopes where not up. but we walked in and right away he spots 2 LTD 5 strings hanging on the wall. he gives me the look of "oh shit i think we found something!". so with out haste he picks the first one up and he gave the same ole look Mark "wolfridgerider" and i have seen on his face with every other bass he has tried. so that one went back up on the wall. next comes down the one in the pics above. he plugs it in and it was like the dark clouds disappeared. he was beaming with school boy like excitement. needles to say it didn't take long for him to decide this puppy is going home with him. I have to say it was very cool to sit back and watch the whole story unfold in front of me. i am glad i could be a part of it. |

No_rice - Erik Buell Racing had a translucent orange front fender for sale when I was there on Friday... I wonder if there was a red one that was claimed for the bike above. You're correct, though - they never came on any bike from the factory. |

Oh wow...I definitely don't remember that post. I'm pretty sure soon after that post I "fell asleep" on a friends couch. Oops, was supposed to go home. |

I think they made a few of the red and orange translucent front fenders for the Queensryche promo tour. I'm guessing these are left overs? |

Looks pretty cool don't it??!! Gary, Chili, Spidey and I got there early and helped set up some of the pop ups. They started bringing stuff out but just leaving it in the big boxes.... being in sales... I started setting the stuff out on the tables and unwrapping some things so everyone could get a better look at it. When I saw the Cherry Red... I had to snag it for myself. I'm glad it made it home in one piece and with no scratches. I bought a set of Pirelli Angels and the set of plastics for $160 and strapped it all to the Uly... .you will NOT see them on ebay I almost don't want to ride the TT with that fender on it... I don't want the bottom to get messed up from road debris |

Good deal. Yeah, crossing the Mississippi was the first big milestone of trip and really cemented what I was trying to accomplish. I keep wondering if I was going to see you guys in the Black Hills or something, lol. I saw two tall bikes in the distance, once i could see the tires strapped to yours I knew exactly what I was looking at, haha. |

I knew exactly what I was looking at, haha did you just call me a dumba$$..... LOL That trip had as much planning as my Iron Butt ride to Canada. A friend of mine and I got a wild hair about noon on a Saturday and headed out to Sault St. Marie. We made it back about 8 or so on Sunday morning and then went home as passed out |

>>>>I wonder if there was a red one that was claimed for the bike above. The last I saw of the translucent cherry front fender . . . Spidey was wearing it as a hat. He was mildly attractive but to keep him occupied Vick put his to work. Tires . . . at $100 a pair . . was a tough deal to pass up. . . damn near a "give away", eh? |

San Dimas was one of the top highlights of the whole trip thanks in large part to an incredible host. Of all the new places I visited, it was the only one where I ever sat back, looked around and said, "Yeah, I could live here". My girlfriend and I are discussing a trip to SoCal already, but it'll be a while before my checkbook recovers from this 'little' escapade. |

Asbjorn is a truly good host and we also very much enjoyed spending our time in L.A with him and Melanie. San Dimas is a beautiful place, very relaxed, and I'm sure the thought of living there may have croseed our minds more than once too (Hhhmmm how to convince the U.S Government that they reeeaallly need another specialty Florist...?) The red plastics look awesome on the bike Wolf. I have always had a soft spot for the reds. Chili had the guitars plugged in the day after we returned, and the PRS does have a very sweet sound...like I said...I always had a soft spot for the reds |

For any that are interested, I've started my ride report here: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/681 7/577035.html?1278080064 Well, actually, I started it on the Quick Board but it was moved and I don't know how many people get over there... |
