I finally sat on a XR1200, no thank you. Did not like the riding position or the weight. Also sat on a Monster, yes please! Wow, I felt like I was cheating on my Lighting just sitting on it!

I rode the XR1200 at IMS earlier this year.
Unsupervised "take as long as you like" test ride.
Honestly, it's a pig. No lipstick. Suspension sucks. Power delivery sucks. Geometry sucks.
It reminded me of riding a ten-speed bicycle that was assembled at K-mart.
I cut my own ride short, brought it back very disappointed. I really had some hopes for it, but real life just didn't do the pictures justice. |

I would buy an antique Buell (96 S-1) before I bought a new Harley.
Even if they were the SAME price. |
