you speak like a true liberal but don't act on it.
if you claim to be such a nice person and respect other peoples lifes.
why don't you return the land to the indians and move your ass back to europe.
you do know your ancsestores killed indians so they can steal their land.

Technically 2001 most of the Indians didn't believe in land ownership so there was nothing to steal. On another note you may want to try a little respect yourself.

Thanks, I'd hate to make anyone upset about the Raid on Lindisfarne either. I suspect my great-great- was in on that one.

Lovely place. I was there just a couple of weeks ago. I can't believe they still haven't rebuilt the Abbey after a thousand years almost : ) Can't get the staff..........or maybe they are still waiting for the insurance claim to come through.

"Your hero Bush 43 dragged America into Iraq which has killed thousands of American for a lie, (WMD's if you recall). Bush is the bigger douche of the two."

Mis-characterizing Bush 43 as my "hero" make you feel better about yourself? Why do you feel so compelled to inject personal commentary into the discussion? Your intellectual dishonesty is disappointing.

The fact that you so eagerly ignore the benefits of liberating so many tens of millions of formerly brutally oppressed Iraqis is sad. That you imagine that the war was based on intentional misrepresentation sends your credibility in the discussion down the toilet.

I have zero desire to debate or discuss with fools, deceivers, or morons.

Patrick (Aesquire) beat me to the punch and as usual put your type of utter nonsense in its correct place far better than I would have.

I'd only add that N. Korea has nothing like the record of the terrorist warmongering regime of Saddam Husein.

The degree of intellectual dishonest or extreme ignorance exhibited by some truly is frightening. I don't know which is worse. Don't care.

"Technically ... most of the Indians didn't believe in land ownership so there was nothing to steal."

So you are saying that native Americans, aka "Indians", were not territorial? While individuals claimed no personal ownership of territory, the tribes and indian nations certainly did.

Char,

What about the unborn and, most horrendously, the "partially born" baby's rights? Seriously. Not worth considering?

THE most helpless and innocent of human life. Not worth defending? Really? Have you ever seen for yourself the procedures used to kill unborn babies? They are unspeakably inhuman.

Our culture has been duped into accepting the lies of the pro-abortion/pro-choice activists. Even the members of the court during Roe vs Wade have admitted that if they'd known then what they know now, they'd have decided differently. They were conned, duped, lied to by pro-abortion activists and their supporters who called themselves "Doctors", and "Scientists."

For me it an issue where one side is mostly about selfishness, not wanting to be inconvenienced and so rationalizing murder of the most innocent and helpless becomes accepted.

There isn't an issue I'm more passionate about. America hasn't suffered over 40,000,000 abortions since Roe vs Wade on account of threats to the mother's health, rape, or incest. The vast, vast majority were purely for convenience, to avoid being bothered with inconvenience and/or stigma.

Am I wrong?

I'm not looking to demonize anyone, just correct very bad law and once again to put life first and defend/protect the unborn, the most innocent and helpless of human life.

Nice feint Hex.

A right to birth control and a right to not be murdered in your mothers womb are two completely separate issues. The fact that the Catholic church is outspoken on both does not make them the same issue.

I strongly oppose Abortion because I feel like it is the most fundamental violation of a persons rights. Right now, public opinion on legal abortion is about split, but millions and millions of aborted infants have been forever deprived of the right to vote.

Come on people lets get back on topic.

Remember Obama's a freedom hater. He started the inquisition and is secretly helping Marvin the Martian create a new Space Modulator to un-obstruct his view of Venus. (and no i don't mean a Williams sister)

I strongly object to the religious persecution!

Many of my best friends are witches.

Blake fails to see the new reality.

If it can't vote legally or illegally, it's fine to kill it.

If it can't be soaked for taxes, too young, too old, disabled, it's fine to kill it.

If you can't soak it for taxes, and it won't vote for you, it's better if you kill it.

( if illegal Mexicans voted 6 to 1 for Republicans, the Border would have land mines and constant Predator strikes...bet on it! )

There, that covers the health care takeover, illegal aliens, abortion, and brings us back to how much we all love the neo-com from the Land of Thug Politics, that City of Broad Shoulders, that bribery beacon on the shore...Chicago.

Let's look for that next Crotch salute or submissive bow. When's Obama next meeting a foreign king? Next public "dang it, have to stand for the National Anthem, again?" moment? Will the media show it?

It's really quite simple if you are science loving leftist. Science tells us that a fertilized human egg will multiply cells and eventually become a full grown human being. That is called life. Stopping that process along the way is killing that life.

I served the United States of America for 20 years in the Marine Corps. I saw combat in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Iraq again.

I have also had the good fortune of personally meeting multiple sitting presidents of this fine country due to my military service. I met G. W. Bush once, he shook my hand, smiled at the press cameras, then left. I met Barack Obama once, he shook my hand, asked my name and where I'm from, then offered me and my fellow men some beers. We all sat down, Barack Obama asked us about our experiences in the military, thanked us for our service and then had more beer brought in. That day made my service all worth it. To think that the President of the United States of America would take time out of his busy schedule in order to hang out and drink beer with some dusty corpsmen makes me proud to serve this country.

To me, it does not matter where President Obama spends his Memorial Day. I personally know that he truly cares about this great country and the people that put their lives on the line so that the rest of you guys can watch your 24 hour news cycles and complain.

Looks like a bit of Brownian motion here.

Charlotte,

You said that you chose not to vote for McCain because of his view on abortion. Fair enough. You can say that men don't get pregnant and that too is true. What is not true is that men are not affected by unintended pregnancies. I personally believe in the right to choose an abortion in the first trimester so I am sympathetic to your belief. I am not going to debate my opinion of abortion in this thread and probably any other thread.

However, I am not a single issue person as I weigh all of a candidate's views. I don't even particularly like McCain but he was infinitely better than Obama. I guess the question is, with what you know now, would you still vote for Obama over McCain?

I could care snot about Obama being nice and funny. This country needs a leader which Obama proves on a daily basis that he is not.

Thats truly something to be proud of. Youve probably made more of a positive impact than this president ever will. In terms of service to your country you stand above the man that rubbed shoulders with marxists and self admitted communists. Maybe you were not air raiding villages and killing civilians like he talked about before getting elected so he deemed you fit to have a beer with. Or he's just another opportunistic politician.
